  2. Am I crazy or do your picture frames keep changing in the middle of ads? 😂 The only reason I noticed was because they were black picture frames and I was thinking wow a brass picture frame would look amazing in contrast to the wall color. Then poof they were brass.

    I particularly enjoy seeing the ‘villians’ in this light- they are so often labelled as not being ‘wifey’ (or husband) material on the show and that is clearly not the case!
    I cannot wait until Thomas and Becca can come on!

  7. Yay watching from Phoenix! 🌞 I came away from this thinking what a down-to-earth, easy, stable relationship. I didn't watch that particular season of the Bachelor, just remember the villain title. Thx for the great episode Dear Shandy!

  20. This was such a wonderful Love Fest. I really enjoyed getting a mashup of team Shandy and Courtney & Humberto. Sharleen, I felt very similarly to you when you mentioned her in past Bach recaps. And I also felt like she created one of the most engaging pieces of Bachelor-related media with her book!

  23. Vienna Girardi and Courtney Robinson were the best. Back before they manufactured villains. Now it's too obvious that they are forcing situations. I always thought they were both bitches, but, alas, Courtney seems perfectly reasonable. Drat!

I'd love if you two could have more diverse couples on the show – understood the Bachelor franchise generally isn't diverse so there may not be a lot of options if you stick with these, but would be nice to see more Asian, Black, Latinx, etc folks represented rather than just mirroring what the show gives us.

  26. This was such a nice interview! I just wanted to chime in, sporting my nerd hat, in defense of Courtney, to say that there IS a superhero named Domino whose superpower is luck, as in she can subconsciously/psionically bend things to fall in her favour. So, winning the lottery could totally be a superpower! 😛 Also, with all the great musical references, I was really hoping for the "what one musical artist would you pick to listen to for the rest of your life"!!

  28. Wow, I hadn't read Courtney's book, so I had no vision of her except for her time on the Bachelor. Either she's grown a LOT in the past 10 years, or her edit really did her dirty (probably both but more the latter), because I found her so mature and sharp here. What a pleasure this was. I ordered her book before I'd even finished watching the interview.

  29. Great interview as always! Courtney and Humberto seem like a lovely, and refreshingly low-key couple 🙂 Humberto's pragmatism is almost inspirational…! 😆

    I have mixed feelings though about characterizing Courtney's time of the Bachelor as iconic in a good way. Don't get me wrong, her telling the other women to relax and enjoy their margaritas, cause Ben's not the only guy in the world will forever be ICONIC 😂. But she was equally famous for just unabashedly mean and belittling comments toward the other women.

    I'm not saying she personally still has to answer for her Bachelor time, so many years later. She's moved on, and good for her! But as viewers, we should be careful, because we have a tendency to recast bullying as somehow iconic just because it's outrageously bold and targets people who aren't as famous or as memorable to us.

  33. Can you guys do a home tour with Allison from Home Worthy? I love her youtube channel. And I think you 2 would be right up her alley. She really helps people tell the little stories about their home and the things they own.
