Anti-Trucker Canadian Politician Says ‘Honk Honk’ Is Code For ‘Heil Hitler’

Canadian Liberal Member of Parliament Ya’ara Saks, speaking before Parliament on Monday, claimed that the phrase “Honk Honk” is actually an acronym for “Heil Hitler.”

The phrase “Honk Honk” has been used online by supporters of the Canadian trucker Freedom Convoy, who used their horns as part of the protest effort.

It was to show support for the truckers without actually blowing a horn. It became a popular hashtag on social media.

Saks, in her speech, tried to portray the protesters as gun-toting Nazis.

“How many guns need to be seized?” she asked. “How much vitriol do we have to see of ‘Honk Honk’ which is a new acronym for “Heil Hitler’?”

Honk Honk – Heil Hitler?

Astoundingly, Ya’ara Saks made her comments without a hint of irony in the backdrop of recent events where Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invoked the Emergencies Act to crack down on Canadian freedom protesters by essentially equating them to a terror group.

Truckers involved in the ‘Freedom Convoy’ protest against government overreach had their bank accounts frozen. Protest leaders were arrested.

They have been threatened with seizure of their vehicles, fines, revocation of their licenses. Children have been used as pawns. Authorities have even threatened to seize truckers’ pets.

The world watched in horror as video emerged of an elderly woman along with others being knocked over by police horses.

Another video shows a police officer using the butt of their gun to corral a protester. Others show officers using repeated knees to an already-downed protester.

Saks might be accusing protesters of sending out signals, but it’s the Canadian government she may want to target her outrage towards for their own signals.

Unhinged

Ya’ara Saks comparing “Honk Honk” to “Heil Hitler” is simply following Trudeau’s lead if you break it down.

The Prime Minister compared a Jewish Conservative Party MP of standing “with people who wave swastikas” after she criticized him for “fanning flames of an unjustified emergency” over the ‘Freedom Convoy’ crackdown.

“Conservative Party members can stand with people who wave swastikas, they can stand with people who wave the confederate flag,” he reprimanded, citing alleged appearances of those flags in the convoy, though no attribution has been assigned to the owners.

Falsely equating protesters to Nazis is, sadly, a consistent tactic from liberal politicians.

Saks comments are reminiscent to those made by Frank Figliuzzi, a top FBI official during Obama’s first term, who once claimed that former President Trump’s lowering of flags to half-staff to honor victims of shootings was a secret shoutout to White Supremacists and Nazis.

“The president says that we will fly our flags at half-mast until August  8, that’s 8/8,” Figliuzzi said at the time. “Now I’m not going to imply that he did this deliberately, but I am using it as an example of the ignorance of the adversary that’s being demonstrated by the White House.”

“The numbers 8/8 are very significant in the neo-Nazi and the white supremacy movement,” he continued. “Why? Because the letter ‘H’ is the eighth letter of the alphabet, and to them, the numbers 8/8 stand for ‘Heil Hitler.’”
