Huge important detail everyone missed including you. There is a 25% Israeli tax on all dividend stock in Israeli. It's 12.75 per share after the tax.
You might want to discuss ZIM further. Many analysts expected a $17 or more ex-dividend price drop [which it did pre-market], but it had a huge same day relative correction for a dividend at this level [historically unusual].
I accidentally put a TP on ZIM which was reached today on the 22nd. Will I still get the dividend payment?

Hey Jerry! Quick question, if I want to buy zim just for the dividend when is the soonest I can sell and receive the dividend. For example: could I sell at 4am tomorrow morning? (I use Webull) or do I have to wait until normal business hours? Also, does the stock open automatically at the new price ($17 less) or does that occur due to sell off? Wondering this because I’m curious is I can sell for early in the day and keep most of the gains from the dividend or if I would lose most of those gains because of the stock price drop. Thanks so much!!

You have to hold more then A day to get the dividend this happened to me last time. My dip was cut in half bc I trimmed my position

ZIM has treated me well in the last 9 months as well….However i wasn't expecting the 25% tax that Israel takes on your dividend proceeds. Still outstanding dividend. You may want to consider DAC also as they are invested Heavily in ZIM.

Jerry mentioned this strategy in his video, but if you're just thinking of a quick day trade, buy ZIM at market open of ex-div day (when the dividend amount is taken out of the share price). Many people will be wanting to buy this stock $17.00 cheaper, and I believe a buy at market open has a high chance of getting you some quick profit.
I am 6/6 on every ZIM trade I've made in the past year, and am up 25% on my current position – It's a great feeling when you get both stock price appreciation and dividend payments. I think they are making money longer than people think, as I don't think the supply chain issues will be resolved this year.
In order to receive those dividends, do I need to hold these stocks ( before Ex-dividends till pay day (April 3rd) and then sell ?
Or I can just sell after the 22 of March

I got a question Jerry: If one knows that the stock price will drop after the dividend payment, why not short the stock ?
The point is by the time you purchased it before the ex div date the dividend is not 27% anymore because the price has moved. Whereas the run up is more likely caused by this video than the dividend. And you won't know who might dump before ex div thus leaving you stacked with the shares hoping the dividend covers the price drop.

I just looked at ZIM on tipranks and it's now showing a a Hold rating with a $79.76 avg price target!? I don't have the premium version so I can't see who downgraded it since the time you recorded you video. But I still bought some for the runup 🙂
