  12. So riddle me this said Batman's nemesis. If you know that a drug is illegal in a State or a country, would you, should you still bring it in…because you have played B-Ball there before ? It appears as if she thought she would be comfy in bringing it into the country ?? Not sure if she was marketing the excess amount or planning on staying awhile and taking enough to last, but this was really dumb, if not totally st-up-id on her part…unless…again…she felt comfy enough to do it and nothing would be said. And right at the start of a war too. Had it been Thailand…wow. The Philippines could be almost as bad as Thailand, close to as bad, but NOT. Someone could just as well have suckered her into bringing the excess drugs into the country, because the war had either just started or was about to start. Another pawn in a game of Russian chess.

  17. IF the charges against Griner are true, it is a serious offense in countries like Russia. Considering that Britney has lived and worked there for several years it was a very bad decision on her part especially during the Ukraine crisis it should have been obvious that Putin would relish making an example of a high profile American. Sometimes stars feel insulated from the rules that everyone else is subject to. This is no joke and should serve as a warning to those with the same mindset.

Any US liaison/representative should have her recite the national anthem before considering how to secure her release…after we get the two marines, who've been in Russian custody for quite some time, out first.

  34. What is wrong with people who support her. Travelling with cannabis in a foreign country? This is pure stupidity and wrong. She broke the law. I have no sympathy for when there are many ukrainians who have been killed by the war. My heart goes out to he thousands of unkraine children who have suffered by the war, not by a WNBA star who got caught with cannabis.

  40. She's lucky it was just drug smuggling and will only serve 5 to 10 years. If she had trespassed on the Kremlin she would be incarcerated in solitary indefinately like in the USA.
