  1. It's a trade-off. You are getting more yield by waiting, but when trichs turn amber they are decarbing. Am I going to get more profit from the extra weight or the higher THC? Every single time – the higher THC brings in exponentially more per harvest batch. This is why I wait until the trichs are milky white and no more than 30% turning amber. To get extra weight, I defan about 2 weeks before harvest. This gives you one final boost in weight, and after 2 weeks the boost slows down to a crawl. This is the way. When I wait until the trichs are all amber, it means that at least 30% of them are now copper and brown. My THC% is now crashing and that 21% strain is now down to 14%, which is a HUGE difference at market.

  2. I have a friend that goes out and watches his plants to see if the are spitting, he called it. He said at one point they spurt. That's when he harvests. It's the only bud ive ever tripped on. It was a pin joint..😂😂 idk what hes doing..but wow

  3. When terps start turning golden/brown means that the thc/cannabinoid count is depleting and dying out. So it’s up to you if you want stronger kush with a little bit less of a yield or wait a bit for a bit more of a harvest and little more flavour.

  4. The trichome color will affect the actual perceived potency (more CBG as it darkens, more activated d9), so yeah, it's not a "bad habit" (you say it like 10 times) to choose a more thcA-rich flower, rather than the subtly more sedative effects of the "seasoned" flowers. It's a matter of preference, and the "bad habit" is the public's average idea of what they want the flower to do them. Just saying, no need to be antagonistic to an approach. I completely agree with aging the buds to get more cushion for the… smokin.

  5. Grow 5 plants outside for fun this year they hit a point where the they smelled so strong and looked perfect I should have pulled them . I went 10 days to long . The flowers is still good but not not as beautiful as last year as far as smell and appearance

  6. When they stop taking up nutrients they're done. When the ec rises as Rez levels drop its time.

Some strains are done with different trich colors than others.

I've seen strains that won't get much amber in the trichs until well after they should have been pulled.

The constant pushing for dark trichs and minimal weight gain are what everyone is selling couch lock indica hybrids that don't even get people "high", just sleepy.

  7. So ive never really understood the whole if you pick it when they are milky its an uppy high and if you pick them Amber it's a couch high. Why have 2 different strains if they do the same thing. Sativa picked milky is an upper type stone and Amber it's a couch lock. Indica picked milky its an upper stole stone and Amber it's a couch lock. I don't get it. I would think that an indica does this and no matter when you pick it it does that.same with sativa's. So either can be both?

  8. An excellent point being raised here is that Its always a good idea to re assess the ways and whys of what you do. my babys have just started sexing coz im in the southern hemisphere and I dont have fancy stuff like feminized seeds 🙂 I got a bunch of unknown sativa strains growin out back that are the reason I get up early 🙂

Love the channel and Ill try let some more amber into my life this year

  9. I’ve been doing this for years. I’ve passed it on to people and they just laughed and they kept doing the same old thing they have been hearing from growers who really doesn’t know exactly when to harvest.

  10. The longer it goes and the more Amber it gets THE SLEEPIER the effect gets ….a HIGH is what your looking for which is the reason they call it getting HIGH ! not tired with couch lock ! That's why 99 % of the bud u find in the shops is INDICA ! Sleepy shit cause it grows fast and can be on the shelf quicker then a good daytime SATIVA ! which takes longer to grow ..people have this misconception that getting high means sitting on a couch and falling asleep or just being a zombie ..its not !! When u find a true SATIVA if u can find one and experience a true HIGH …you will never want to go back or just keep that shit for before bedtime ..im telling you finding a real SATIVA is like finding a pink unicorn in a shop

  11. great work, appreciated. I was there to see those bad or questionable habits created when of course we were also developing lots of excellent practices and strains also. Certainly, the pressures of suppression and oppression in the broad culture were very damaging. But we've been reminded recently that 'openness' or liberalism has its dangers too, ie facebook BS and some of the dangerous lies formerly found at the distant margins that have been embraced by millions of people now who are being manipulated. Some people know better and lie to others, some to themselves, but many have been unknowingly shaped by this new way of molding the public consciousness by people who profit from it. Ultimately what matters is education for the consumption side and a moral perspective for the creators. How we live really, really, matters.

  12. Thank you. I’m on my first plant and I was wondering if I should harvest or not, I’ll wait a month and a half. Mid February I’m gonna harvest it.

  13. If you're growing inside then it makes no sense allow it to flower for 9 weeks instead of 8 to increase yield. Because if you look at the big picture, what you've really done is cut your annual overall production down from 5 grows to 4.

  14. Not the whole picture. It depends on crop rotations too. If you can harvest a couple weeks earlier and get 90% of the same yield, then you get a whole extra grow in throughout the year which more than makes up for that 10% per harvest.

  15. So you are talking to the rookies that can not wait to cut down. Lol I went from 64 days to 56 to get the lighter color of shatter. amber to yellow. But heat has something to do with it. Too.
