Standing in line (in 2020) at Walmart return counter (not 6 feet apart) a man threatened to rape me because I was not wearing a mask. The threat was graphic and specific. I was happy to see that all the other people around me (who were all wearing masks) stood up for me as I was unsure if they would support his position. It was amazing to me that suddenly this man believed raping someone who in his mind most assuredly must be infected was a fitting punishment for threatening his safety…I wonder if he would have made me wait for my punishment while he bought a condom. This world is hilarious 🤷♀️
I work with the public, I haven’t had someone get mad at me that I don’t speak Spanish but (there is a massive wave of Spanish families new to my small town) I do get a ton of folks speaking to me in Spanish as though I should know it, and when they realize I do not, they attempt to teach me how to use their language. On one hand I think, that’s not how this is goona work bro, but on the other hand I can see that companies are more likely to hire workers that are bilingual in order to allow for ease in communication with the wave of Spanish speaking patrons. Personally I don’t care either way, life’s goona do what it’s goona do. I tell these guys who treat me as though they are in charge of the language I use with them that I’m 47 and am not looking to learn a new language. Then I say auf weiderzen or bon apeteit and chuckle to myself. Life gets more hilarious everyday 🤷♀️
The graphic in the beginning…I had a dream once, a long and incredible dream with many chapters to it, one of which I listened to or absorbed info from “ the lady of lights” a “woman” made of tiny flashing lights in a dark void who taught me things I don’t specifically recall, anyway, in another part I was fall/ floating down a chamber like the one in the graphic but all squares and there were beings behind the windows of each square who’s job it was to judge my performance of gymnastic type movements as I passed by.
