Chiangmai was the 1st city in thailand that I ever visited. Funny story we had come from Singapore where the exchange rate was 2:1. we went down to the old centre of chiangmai and a tuktuk driver was trying to get us to go on a tour and wanted 300 baht, thinking this was 150€ we haggled the fee to 180baht. About 2 hours into the tour I realised that he was asking for 5€ – I felt like a complete moron.
