Ilhan Omar Mocks ‘Snowflakes’ Who Didn’t Like Her Blasting Christians Singing On A Plane

Ilhan Omar is relishing the criticism she received after objecting to a Christian group singing songs of worship on a plane prior to the Easter holiday, mocking those offended as “snowflakes.”

Omar over the weekend shared a video of a group singing on an airplane which had the description, “Worshipping Jesus 30,000 feet in the air!”

The Minnesota Democrat shared the video along with her thoughts on what would have happened if a group of Muslims began praying on an airplane.

Her family, for example.

Ilhan Omar Calls Those Offended by Her Christians Singing on a Plane Tweet ‘Snowflakes’

Representative Ilhan Omar received a fair amount of backlash over her tweet criticizing the Christian group singing on a plane, but she also had her share of defenders.

Ernest Owens, editor-at-large of Philadelphia Magazine, responded to her tweet saying, “A point was made.”

Omar retweeted his take and seemed to enjoy the blowback she got from critics.

“And the original snowflakes had a complete and glorious meltdown,” she added along with a fingernail painting emoji, which apparently is supposed to indicate some level of indifference to the backlash.

“Some People Did Something”

You would think Omar would show a modicum of humility when it comes to making light of Muslims praying on a plane. But no, she couldn’t resist taking a jab at the group almost primarily because they were celebrating a Christian holiday.

The congresswoman has frequently gotten herself in trouble with her incendiary comments, with one incident in particular revolving around the worst terrorist attack on American soil involving radical Islamists on a plane.

In comments that surfaced in 2019, Omar seemingly downplayed 9/11 in describing why the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) was created.

“CAIR was founded after 9/11, because they recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties,” she said.

3,000 human beings, mostly Americans, were murdered on 9/11 by terrorists.

Making Comparisons

In comments made just last year, Omar seemed to equate actions taken by the United States and Israel to those perpetrated by the Taliban and Hamas.

“We must have the same level of accountability and justice for all victims of crimes against humanity,” she tweeted. “We have seen unthinkable atrocities committed by the U.S., Hamas, Israel, Afghanistan, and the Taliban.”

No Regrets

The Squad member would double down on those remarks saying she does not regret making the comparison.

Omar insisted that she was speaking specifically about incidents regarding ICC (International Criminal Court) cases and was “in no way equating terrorist organizations with democratic countries with well-established judicial systems.”

Representative Lauren Boebert (R-CO) has described Omar as a “Jihad Squad member” over her history of controversial remarks about America.
