  1. Just use beard oil and beard wash ! Finally someone said it. And I don't like any of the beard balms either. Your instructions on butter are more useful than the manufacturer's instructions. All these beard product companies with their catchy, clever masculine names. Beard products has to be the most segmented consumer product category. I found either Wahl's beard shampoo or Pantene Hair shampoo works OK. And Bromley's unscented beard oil is OK. Per your other vid, I tried EveryMan'sJack Beard Butter. It is good. My beard demands to be washed every 3 days, or it itches and flakes and smells.

  2. Thank you for all your information on beard products.I was wondering about beard oil. I understand that beard oil is just for the skin of the beard, not the hair. Is this true? Now I know some people put it on both. Myself for a while, I have as well. But after thinking about it, I was wondering. Should I just put it on the skin, or both skin and hair? The bottles are so small. I’m thinking just for the skin only. If it was a larger bottle, then I would assume that it’s for both. What is your opinion?

  3. What a lovely and well rounded listing of so many products. First time here, but surely not the last time. Gotta go watch all your other vids now, cya 😉

  4. How much crap do you guys put in your beards.. I've been rocking beards all my life.. Present time I have a 15" full beard. I have no special routine whatsoever, I shower as if I didn't even have a beard wash it with regular body wash And regular shampoo conditioner, my beard is soft perfect not itchy No dandruff.. And I'm now 60 years old. You guys are putting all these products in your beard flushing your money down the toilet bowl. Unnecessary dude…

  5. With the Detroit grooming if you use it as a daily use and having to wash it out the next day. Do you suggest changing the wash, condition, rinse routine?

  6. Another great video Dan! Thank you so much for all the content. I’m planning on ordering the whiskey hardtack bar. Which one scent should I try 1st?

  7. Have you used or reviewed any of the Beard Struggle products? The reason I ask is because its what I have been using.
The ginger jamboree beard octane sounds amazing and I will be trying it next.

  8. Hi Dan! I’m looking to buy a beard product that has great wash, conditioner, oil, and butter. In a kit..looking for recommendation. How do you feel about Live Bearded products? Talking oils and butters

  9. My beard is very coarse, and the underside always has tangles. Would you recommend a light to medium or medium to heavy conditioner? I work outside in the texas heat if that helps. Thanks

  10. Great info however wish you could advise on international products, as a follower from outside the US it is extremely hard and expensive to get these products. Hope you can advise on the following brand, King C. Gillette, for their wash, balm and oil. Thank you.

  11. Great info and analysis, thank you. Just a little surprised you had nothing from Beard Baron. I haven’t found a competitor that comes close to their long lasting scents, any recommendations for a long lasting scented oil, butter or balm?

  12. Excellent video sir. As always, I wish Sam made an appearance, a lot nicer than having to stare at ur mug the whole time 😄. But seriously, love what u do and I ordered the DanC Artius Man beard oil. Had to order thru Amazon because their web site was SOLD OUT! Way to go my bearded brother 👍

  13. I stopped shopping for bar soap a couple years ago after I found Stirling Soap Company. Great people, great products, and great prices. 5 dollars a bar for 6 ounces. Perfect blend of clean without being too stripping. Over 70 different scents. Which include fragrances inspired by fragrance houses like Creed and Tom Ford.
These beard companies soap prices are ridiculous. I thought it was bad enough they sell butters for double the price that are similar ingredients to womens body butters, and you can get ones that have all certified organic ingredients. Which isnt easy to get those certifications. It also makes the product more rigorously tested. Its hard to buy from companies that are marking up their products to that extent. At least with the butters, you can say you are paying for more masculine scents. But, the soap.. That is just a kick in the pants.

  14. The Live Bearded wash is super stripping for me. My fingers instantly get stuck in/do not glide through my beard when the wash hits it, and my beard is only a little over an inch long. I thought I got a bad sample, but they are all like that.
