Food sensitivities. They are really hard to find due to delays in digestion, blaming a more recent food, needing a build up, etc. Even myself, I went to doctors for a decade without any luck only to find it was only a lactose intolerance that solved everything.
I had a cat that threw up an hour after every meal for 3 years. She weighed 6 lbs. Pretty cat but very thin. Bought every specialty health natural food I could find. Nothing worked. Decided to make my own. One food at a time. She loved chicken and egg. I gave her egg – instant throwing up. I gave her chicken – delayed throwing up. Finding dry foods without any chicken products was hard, but doing so eliminated all throwing up and doubled her weight.
Not suggesting chicken is a problem for all pets at all. Sometimes there can be a very subtle food sensitivity issues that that can cause rashes, digestion, or even mental issues, and they are very hard to find.
Just a seed for additional thought – not an absolute.
I have wondered if something like that would keep Shiloh from having seizures other than phenobarbital pills that he hates to swallow. I hope it works for your cat!
