So i was living in Puerto Rico where marihuana is medicinal and just moved to asheville and sadly isnt legal 🥴
I'm going to move out of NC. It boils down to the NC government sucking corporate c*ck. Who cares about the little guy?! It's funny that a lot of the early medical studies with cannabis were done at Duke University over 20 years ago. It boils down to money and control. The conservatives want all of the money and want to micromanage the lives of everyone under their thumbs. I'm not saying the liberal politicians are all innocent either. Their lack of action is just as damning as the right wing's hogwash. There are a few who are really trying but not enough getting on board. If it were put to a public vote it would easily pass for medical and recreational but the laws in NC don't work that way. NC citizens are unable to put anything up for a vote. Many people are leaving this state for these reasons. Mainly young people who would be the most valuable in the work force. In my small circle of people I know, I know of at least eleven people that have already moved or are planning to move out of NC soon. Before long the only people left in NC will be old white conservatives and other people who don't have the means to move and people who just don't care. NC politics are disgusting. As Pink Floyd said, they "[Fill] me with the urge to defecate!" Also to paraphrase Bill Hicks – "It seems like the good guys get squashed while the demons run amok!"

I’m from NC, this bill is ridiculous though. Without ptsd or chronic pain you really can’t get a card. What about anxiety? I feel as if it’s too restrictive. I just can’t get excited about a bill that is so narrow.

Why don't we just fast forward and make all growing everywhere of any amount legal.
N.C. already has a program laid out on stand by in place, not to allow privately owned dispensaries. N.C. residents will have to go to a ABC store (like for alcohol) allowing only the state to sell it. I just hope they make cultivation possibilities available for the small craft cultivator within reach

From what I just read the NC bill is "one of the most conservative cannabis bills in the country". Too restrictive. I'm moving from NC back to FL soon. The rules are a little better there.

Minnesota has only 2 suppliers and I think there's only 8 dispensaries for the whole state. On the plus side we are finally going to be allowed access to flower in March of 2022.
Cannabis is medicine. Criminalization of cannabis violates the constitution. Health care comes second to government corruption. Attorneys are capitalists enabling government corruption for a paycheck
