I'd recommend he look into food grade plastic or stainless steel mesh grow screens. Not free but buy once and set for years, burlap can get mold easier, hence his fungus gnat issue (plus the peat moss has gnats)

16:40 Hemp fiber lasts a very long time = very durable. Same for hemp jeans and shirts = can last a lifetime of use. Pay a little more but get 10x-100x the wearability.

We love burlap here I can plant it along with my fruit trees and not worry about the roots being so stuck to the container we also like to put burlap on top of our worm bins
Cool idea John. I wonder if the pesticides from the coffee could impact the microgreens. But maybe in that case, using bags that had organic beans is the way to go.
I always wanted to source these bags. It's not so common here. I've never been above dumpster diving. JK's energy is always up up up

Burlap is an excellent idea!! But what about the ink printing on the bags I would think that the roots of the greens might absorb the ink.

Is there a health standard to follow if you want to grow for business. You have a great channel but I definitely don't see any info on guidelines for protocol in reference to health and safety requirements.
