  1. Thanks for the memory jog, I stayed at the Raming Lodge on Loi Kro Rd. back in 2011 on my second trip to Thailand. It rained like hell one night and the streets flooded and I rode my companions scooter back to the hotel in 1 1/2 feet of water because she was too drunk, I was too but oh well I'm still here and it was fun! LOL

  2. When you said to Joe “ good morning how are you “ and he said “ We are doing Great “,… I started crackling up , the only thing that was missing was … he forgot to say “ How are we “ first ,… lol ( How are we, we are doing Great )

  3. Chuck, you and the gang should hit “ boy blues bar “ when your in Chiang Mai, it’s a blues/jazz bar that’s on the second floor of a small open air venue that sits about 40-50 people catered to our age crowd and if it’s still open I highly recommend it

  8. Hi, Chuck & Paige enjoyed your video. Pai is a beautiful town embedded in the jungle.
Not many places like this left. Take care GOD Bless you and yours. M

  9. In Pai I remember that river and bridge we had to cross at the end of walking street. I had a hammock swinging in a tree off my second story balcony of our bungalow with a bottle of rum. I think Bob Marley, Snoop Dog and Willie Nelson would like Pai. Anyway we are looking South to Hau Hin region as well. I did not move here from Palm Beach to live in a city of Korat.

  10. Ahh I remember so many sights, bars and restaurants from those walks in Chang Mai which was one of the many places we visited on our last trip to Thailand

  11. Stayed at Raming Lodge for our Chiang Mai trip , shocking customer service….failed to show for airport pick up so had to make own way to hotel , arranged for early morning taxi with reception when leaving only to find out nothing had been arranged by them . Luckily found a single tuk tuk who squeezed us on about 5am in the morning.

  12. Hi Chuck, great video! Question? Living in Thailand… Do you still have to file U.S. & State Taxes on your retirement & Social Security money? And are there Thailand taxes you need to file?

  13. There is something comforting about the vast expanse of the ocean. As much as I love the mountains, it can feel claustrophobic, as all the settlements are bunched together.

  19. I couldn't agree with you more Chuck, there is something about the sound of waves and seeing that beautiful water that is very relaxing. It was great meeting you guys at Rock Me Burger, looking forward to meeting you again. Maybe Koh Chang! 😁😁

  20. Hi Chuck and Paige. Pai is a very beautiful town that incorporates itself into the local nature. The architecture/walking street seems to be built into the local flora and is more inviting than the typical Thai town where the architecture is a barrier to nature. I really liked it there, very relaxing. Thanks for taking us there.
