  1. Last year I had to go to the ER twice because of CHS. Extremely dehydrated, unable to eat anything because the instant I ate or drank anything I’d have to go throw up, even without eating I was wretching over the toilet all hours of the day for about a week before going to the ER the first time, getting on IV’s, going home, coming back the next week for the same reason, and that time they admitted me and held me there for another five days, monitoring me, taking blood samples, urine samples, I had four different IV’s in me for hydration and nutrition, as well as anti nausea medication. I had also developed Boerhaave’s Syndrome from the constant vomiting, and my neck and shoulders had swollen up with air leaking from my esophagus.
Yet despite this, after two months clean I went back to smoking. I just want people to know that THC addiction is real, CHS is real, there are real dangers to smoking weed, like there are dangers to using any other substance. Just be warned and be safe.

  2. I heard this can happen if you smoke bad product constantly, Or to much of said product. Just moderate when you smoke you'll be good. Tolerance breaks are scams. Just slow down.

  3. I'm at day 4-5 without cannabis . I feel horrible I hope not for long . Anybody at day 6 or 7 or 8 that can comment below what is your feelings …?

  4. I’m currently going through chs and I have a theory to help my stoner peeps. Look I know people saw hot water helps. But I want you try something different. I want you to fluctuate from hot to cold. So cold that it’s unbearable. Then when you can’t take the cold anymore switch it to hot as hell. Same thing go to when you can’t bear heat brink it cold. My theory is if you expose yourself to these extreme temperatures, your body moves to a flight or flight response where pain becomes secondary to your need to get to a colder or hotter place. Also it could cause the same feeling as reviving a blanket after freezing your balls off, or vice versa on a hot ass day you can’t wait to jump into a cool pool. Guess it’s comforting feeling. This technique works for my cluster headaches as well. Hot cold people. Let me know if any one has success

  5. I live in a poor country where weed is illegal, so I can't get a diagnosis, but Im almost a 100% sure that i had this and I have a lot of observations, mainly concerning weed and alcohol. Before my first episode I was doing weed daily for months on end, wake n bake everyday and I only went to sleep with the weed. My first CHS episode was after a 3 day drink binge, where I couldn't get any weed. I went to the ER and the doctors couldn't tell me what was my problem. I was vomiting multiple times per hour, i never had something like that before prior to that point. They gave me a huge amount of painkillers, they didn't work. I had an ultrasound and a bunch of other medical test and nothing came out. I did medical tests multiple times after and there was NOTHING. They even said that my organs were pretty healthy, which puzzled me even more (I dont drink too often, the 3 day binge was an special occasion). After that, everytime I had a small amount of alcohol I would start having that same pain/nausea that i couldn't describe, sometimes getting to the point of having another episode. After stopping smoking for a couple of days I could stand some alcohol but not very much, as I used to. Now Im trying to stop weed consumption for a month and see how this progresses, but I think CHS took away from me the chance to stand alcohol at all. Does anyone has a similar situation? I kinda feel alone in the world with this.

  6. Love weed, love the feeling of being high, love the sleep I get from smoking and I especially love the process of packing a bowl and smoking it. My problem is I suffer from chs. I’ve gone through it before and completely over come it for over a year with no idea it was from cannabis use. I started smoking regularly again and after about 6 months started to feel the sickness coming back. 4 nearly 5 days clean and my appetite is finally coming back. My anxiety has drastically gone down because I’m not fearing my next meal and what will come while eating or directly after. TAKE IT FROM ME!! I love cannabis like you wouldn’t believe but I refuse to let myself feel ill just so I can be high. I have no intentions of starting smoking again now after knowing this new knowledge and even though I am strongly addicted the fear of feeling sick is out weighing that x1000…. Literally feels like a hot knife is being driven into my sternum… not worth it.

  7. Going through this currently. Started 5 days ago.. been sober since but still have killer stomach pains that come on at night.. can’t sleep because of it

  8. Is CHS permanent? What I mean is, after the endocanabiniod system is back to a natural baseline (quit/abstaining) would introducing THC/CBD back into the body immediately trigger CHS? Or would it take time for the canabiniods to build up to trigger CHS?

  9. My doctors says I have this but 1. I sweat like crazy and hate the thought of a hot shower.
    2. I smoke every day but the 'pain sessions' only happens when i drink energy drinks and eat like crap.
    3. The pain is excruciating to the point where they need to knock me out with pain relief

I seriously don't think it is this.

  10. I’m so glad I found this channel. I need to make serious changes in my life. I’ve been throwing up bile and clear bodily fluids (saliva presumably) with brown specks in the clear fluids. This typically happens a few times a week. I’ve always taken notice that most of the time I will vomit almost immediately after smoking. I have also noted a few outliers of vomiting before I smoke, but it’s the same result. I haven’t ever noticed hot showers helping my nausea, as I typically would smoke after showering. After I throw up once, nausea dissipates almost immediately. I also don’t typically throw up a lot, it’s usually just two or three spurts of a small amount of liquid then I’m done.

I really wish there was a way to find out if CHS is my issue, but it seems like quitting is the first step to finding out, and recovery.

  11. Is CBD a cause of CHS or is it only high levels of THC (I know minuscule amounts of THC are still present). Not sure if it’s just the fat from the cannabis plant also contributing or if it is a strictly THC induced disorder!?
