  1. If this video is fuzzy, I apologize. It is still processing the HD version. Please be gentle in the comments. I know while I was gone, I got quite a bit of "YOU'VE GIVEN UP, YOU'VE CHANGED, DON'T UPLOAD THIS, I DON'T LIKE THESE VIDEOS" on my Short videos, or a lot of general rude comments… Shorts are another part of my channel that will be added in addition to my tutorials, and they make me really happy. Also… meanwhile.. I was going through this. You NEVER KNOW what is going on in someone else's life. Choose to be kind. Thank you for your support.

  2. Thank you so much for sharing your video about this. You have inspired me to go to the dermatologist and get checked – will take my kids and husband also AND regularly – because of you.
It's something that terrifies me and always has. As a matter of fact, it scares me so much that I usually avoid videos such as yours. I just want to thank you so much for being so forthright, detailed and honest about your experience. Most of all, I'm thrilled that you're okay!!

  3. So scary! I’m seeing a physician assistant in 3 days to look at a mole in the private area that looks scary. I’m terrified it’s melanoma. I’m a wreck! I’m hoping it’s just an infected mole.

  4. You know, when a blessing is on its way, something bad happens that can possibly ruin your upcoming blessing. It’s important to try to stay calm and keep a positive mindset so you don’t end up falling into your emotions and potentially ruining your good luck.

I’m happy to see you well. I swear, cancer don’t discriminate. Any day can be your diagnosis, which is pretty scary if you think about it.

  5. I had it mine was in stage 2 had my surgery it was on the bottom of the front of my leg so I got this big dip in my leg now. I have to get checked every 3 months because it could come back unfortunately. They needed to do a skin graft on me because they had to make sure they got it all.

  6. I don't want to scare you but certain genes can make that person be more susceptible of cancer I think of 2 gene, BRAC1 and 2 so a gene check can be useful! But there's many many genes that could affect that process its not just those ones, they're just what I learned in Human Bio!

  7. I have my mole on my back removed 4 days ago and it was on my upper right side of my back. My surgeon said if it was let go, it will turned to melanoma.

  8. I have a friend who also has red hair, type 1 diabetes and has made it through stage 3-4 melanoma… the melanoma grew fast when she was pregnant due to increased hormones. I read that red heads carry these gene mutations specifically.
Not sure if you’ve read about this but thought I would mention. You can be tested for the gene mutations associated with melanoma to see where you fall in the risk factors for future information as this can be with or without sun exposure.

  9. I'm 65 and just found out a spot the doctor was treating with a prescription cream is possibly cancer. Have to get a biopsy. I mean it may be something else but I kind of know and am just hoping it is not melanoma! I am a little worried, even though I try not to think about it, just because I am older. Hopefully it's nothing but it definitely weighs on your mind. Hope you are well. Keep up with those skin checks.

  12. I wanted to thank you for posting this video. I decided to start going to as dermatologist yearly and I'm glad I did. I do not have cancer, but I did have two spots that had the potential if left alone. Thank you for the encouragement!

  13. I’m going through this right now. We found out a few months ago we’re having a baby boy then shortly after I’m being told I have melanoma? One of the happiest moments of my life and one of the scariest moments of my life happening simultaneously is something I will never forget. Absolutely terrifying.

  14. I dont know when i was unsubscribed from your channel but here i am again ❤️ Going to rewatch every missed video. Glad you are ok ❤️❤️❤️

  15. You have such a great attitude about your experience. Last summer, I had exactly the same experience. I normally see my dermatologist at least once a year, but due to covid, I missed a year. My dermatologist checked my skin on a Friday when she took a punch biopsy of a mole on my upper back. I was called on the following Monday to come into her and she told me that I had stage 1 or in situ melanoma. I had virtually no reaction. I'm also a Pisces who has been a fainter since early childhood. I was able to go to a plastic surgeon the next day to have it excised I also told the nurse that I'm a chronic fainter.. When I returned 2 weeks later for suture removal, I was told that I had to have a second excision as my margins weren't clear. This did the trick. I am melanoma free. I have had many moles removed that have been suspicious and all have been displastic. I'm not a redhead, but very fair-skinned, freckly and can not get a tan. I lived in the tropics for 8 years, 5 of which were spent on a sailboat. I'm 69 and there was no sunscreen back then only zinc oxide. Being in my early 20s I was not going to smear that all over myself. All of that sun exposure set me up for skin cancer. I'm going to see my dermatologist next month for my skin check. I wish you all the best. Your message is very worthwhile and I echo it.

  16. I’m going into the hospital tomorrow morning to get mine removed ..I’m 15 so I’m freaking out soo much 😂I hope i don’t pass out ahh

  17. Thanks for this
However,I also believe there is a genetic component to skin cancer
    It’s not just the Sun
There are people diagnosed who wear sunscreen religiously and avoid direct sun

  18. I have new moles and spots on me. I have a weird large spot on my foot that is getting a biopsy. If it is cancer, I don’t get sun or tan myself so idk how. 😩
