Let's also remember that when there is no power, there is also no internet. But we MUST log calls if we want power restored, this is impossible for most of us. We were so desperate that I sent a whatsapp to the mayor. City Power, give us the ability to create tickets with whatsapp, since that's all that works! Then you will have a true idea of the problem and the people affected by your incompetence
Out of the past 3 weeks, we haven't power at night except for 1 night, the 12th. The last time we saw power was Thursday night, maybe you don't know how to count or don't know what you are talking about. Let me also say that I saw one of these "strikes" and it was about 15 people shouting We want power. around 2 burning types, I was not afraid, maybe I'm made of stronger stuff?
Maybe you should provide the services you are paid to do and your people won't get angry with you. There are babies, people on oxygen, small children, businesses, for days and days without power OR water! They don't have water even now! But let's feel sorry for you, the victim, of course 🙄
What you failed to mention is that residents have been without power for the past 8 out of 9 nights. Days without water, this is unacceptable!
Reasons varied from jack hammers that were not available to perform maintenance, poor quality material etc. Very little updates given , a video of 1 man digging a hole with a pic in Kenilworth lol!
I can go on an on and on but basically if this was taken serious then these issues would have been sorted days ago!!! This man is incompetent, simple! You try explain to a mother with children why there is no water, no electricity for much much more than
3 days, you are a LIAR!!!??? Lastly, why are you advertising exposed cables to thieves, why are scrapyards buying these cables??? Scrapyard dealers should be rewarded for apprehending these thieves…
Communities also need to take responsibility for those who attack emergency services and steal cable. They need to point them out to the Police.
We need a special court for corruption and crimes like these. Fast tracking these kind of crimes will send s rong message.

Why the heck do you think the residents are protesting Isaac? ENCA please do some research, as to how many calls are logged with CP from the Rosettenville/Kenilworth/Turffontein/Haddon and Forest Hill areas, and how many re-logged calls for the same fault! I lived in the area, and just one example, we were without power for 5 days. The technicians/contractors did not know where the distribution box was!

Since last week Monday, the residents of Kenilworth have not had decent/stable electricity. Its been a long rainy Easter Weekend; and we cannot even keep ourselves warm🙄
