She is pathetic.
When Johnny is telling stories about her abnormal behavior, most times Amber will look down and start writing. This is an old court room trick lawyers tell their clients to do to hide their face and reactions to what's being said.. She's a sociopath so she's having a hard time controlling her face and emotions.

I think it's interesting that his tone, pitch and delivery on his audio recordings are the same delivery as in the court – except when he's talking about his fame and his movies etc. In her audio, with exception of the drug f'd mumbling on the plane, he's quite fluid, with a completely different tone and pitch "no thank you, there's ** on the pillows"
