Support Rolls In For Sarah Palin After Trump Endorses Her For Congress

By Dr. Derek Ellerman

Conservative favorite and firebrand Sarah Palin made the jump and announced that she’s running for Congress in Alaska’s lone, at-large Congressional District.

Her campaign surely got a big boost in a very crowded primary when the Republican Party’s most popular figure, former President Donald Trump, dropped a strong endorsement for her candidacy.

Since then, support has been rolling in for the former Alaska Governor and Vice Presidential candidate.

Trump Drops Major Endorsement Of Palin

In his endorsement, Trump lauded Palin as a “true America First fighter” and made clear that her early support of his own candidacy in 2016 was warmly welcomed.

“Sarah has been a champion for Alaska values, Alaska energy, Alaska jobs, and the great people of Alaska. She was one of the most popular Governors because she stood up to corruption in both State Government and the Fake News Media,” Trump’s endorsement reads.

Readers will no doubt remember the treatment Palin received from the mainstream media in 2008, which now seems so long ago.

Trump also credited Palin with reviving a flagging McCain campaign.

“Sarah lifted the McCain presidential campaign out of the dumps despite the fact that she had to endure some very evil, stupid, and jealous people within the campaign itself. They were out to destroy her, but she didn’t let that happen.”

The endorsement concludes, “Sarah Palin is tough and smart and will never back down, and I am proud to give her my Complete and Total Endorsement, and encourage all Republicans to unite behind this wonderful person and her campaign to put America First!”

The race to fill Alaska’s sole congressional seat opened up with the passing of Don Young on March 18.

Young had been first elected in 1973

Palin thanked Trump for his endorsement, calling it an honor.

Support Rolls In

Formidable figures in the Republican Party followed Trump’s lead, including Trump’s UN Ambassador Nikki Haley:

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich added his name as well:

Former Alaska Lt. Governor Mead Treadwell, who served from 2010 – 2014, told Newsmax, “Never underestimate Sarah Palin. Even when her 40 opponents include a decorated Purple Heart recipient, America’s longest running garden columnist, an assistant secretary from the Trump administration who won a Twitter battle with Chuck Schumer [Tara Sweeney], a legislator who is guardian of our Constitution his dad helped write [John Coghill], the son of a former Congressman who preceded Don Young [Nick Begich, III] and yes, Santa Claus [a North Pole, Alaska City Councilman].”

MAGA Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene seems excited by the prospect:

ACT for America founder Brigitte Gabriel is definitely on board:

The Left Attacks Palin

As might be expected, bluecheck figures on the left used the opportunity to attack Palin.

The “USA Singers,” which describe themselves as “making Resistance music” and standing against “Fascism” and for Ukraine was a little less subtle:

A Biden and Obama alumni was also less subtle:

More than one Democrat operative seemed to run with that same joke:

In her campaign announcement, Palin said, “At this critical time in our nation’s history, we need leaders who will combat the left’s socialist, big-government, America-last agenda. This country was built by heroes, and the radical left dishonors their legacies by opening our borders to illegal immigrants, mortgaging our children’s future, and selling out our nation’s interests to the highest bidder.”
