  1. Yes, agreed. One of the best looking if not the best looking SUV! But it’s the driving experience! It never fails to put a smile on my face, especially on a windy twisty road! πŸ™‚

  2. Keep up the good work. The reviews on the channel accurate and have elegance and class. My purchase of 2020 CX-5 Turbo was inspired by one of your reviews. I love CX-5 ride, handling and Turbo Power❀️

  3. Thanks for the review! That newer CX-5 seems to have a lift kit. Or is that the effect of the rims? I have a 2017 CX-5 GT and I'm quite often on service roads shuttling mountain bikers (including me). The clearance is good but I'm wondering whether I can get some extra inches. I'm at the moment itching for the CX-50 which I'll probably switch to but even then I would love to find someone who could lift it another inch. It doesn't seem a very popular thing to do for the CX-5. Cheers!

  4. In February 2022 I bought the 2022 Mazda CX-5 turbo, exact model(color & trim) you just reviewed. Traded in my red 2019 Mazda CX-5 touring preferred package after 3 years of enjoying it for this turbo'd 2022 refreshed CX-5 & I love it.

  5. 2 main gripes:

The seats are crazy uncomfortable and short. I am not super tall 6'1" and most of my leg dangles off. I've heard plenty of others complain about that as well.
    .
The door sills are way too high makes it feel so much tighter and smaller.

  6. Great review! We have two CX-5s ('16 Touring AWD & '19 GT Premium AWD). I 100% agree with you… you give up a little space/comfort but get a SUV that is engaging and actually fun to drive! I absolutely love the new Turbo trim! It's unique and really stands out in the crowd whereas the previous Grand Touring Reserve didn't. Fyi, the red accent in the grill is specific to the Turbo trim. Also, starting in '22 all Mazda SUVs have AWD. FWD is no longer available.

  7. This is the car that I loved so much and longing to drive it, the turbo charge CX-5 with blacked out trim and Soul red crystal, but the new CX-50/60 is even more desirable onesπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.😘😘😘🏎🏎🏎

  8. This is facts, I had a 1st gen 2014 GT and it was the best vehicle I've ever owned. Can't wait to get back into a turbo!

Just subbed because I see you also have great taste! πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

  9. Last September we bought a new CX-5 Signature Turbo and we love it! It has the display in the windshield and all the safety goodies. That turbo sure makes it fun to drive.

  10. Nice review. I am getting my 2022 CX5 Signature tomorrow. Did you ever try any aftermarket wireless carplay adapters? Trying to see if I can get one to make it wireless in the CX5. I believe Mazda provides the Wirelss carplay in Mazda 6 and MX5 miata but not on CX5. That's strange.

  11. Just bought a Carbon edition cx5 2022. Non turbo but AWD. It drives like a car my wife loves it. It has all the power the versatility the performance and elegance of the interior with red leather seats just blow competition out of the water.

  12. My eyes tell me this is the clearly Mazda's money maker in the states. On the road, it feels like I see 10 times as many of these as I see of all other recent Mazda's combined. Which makes sense because this is the most popular form-factor on the roads by far. Having spoken to a friend who got a 2014 CX-5 used to replace a totaled Outback, the test drive was the key. I bet people who are willing to cross-shop this against CRVs/Outbacks/RAV4s are blown away by the differences in driving feel, power, and appearance. Feels like getting something a bit special, versus something purely practical.

  13. I have 2016 Mazda 6 from generation that this fellow has, can attest to the reliabilty of this drivetrain, 65K and not a single thing has gone wrong with it so far, runs as strong as it did when I bought it in 2015. Plan on replacing this year with a CX30 Turbo

  14. From what I've been seeing about the CX-50, it answers most if not all of the drawbacks of the CX-5 with it's longer/wider platform. And yes, I want a PHEV or full-on BEV version! Oh yeah. There's the pano sunroof, too.

  15. I think u should mention all that crap glossy black on outside is a nightmare to keep scratch free and swirl free. Piss poor decision by Mazda. Most of us hate gloss black

  16. I’m a car guy, but a new baby and the need for a safer vehicle that can fit a giant car seat had me looking at SUVs I bought a 2021 carbon edition AWD turbo and I’m completely blown away with the performance. It has the size and comfort of an SUV, but it drives like a very sporty car.

  17. This review is soooo spot on. My daughter has a CX5 and loves it. The next daughter with get a CX30 or Mazda3 hatch. I can't wait til the Mazda6 or CX70 comes out

  18. We had a 2021 Kona and were able to trade it in and get an amazing deal on the CX-30 turbo and have to say that set up is so fun to drive! Awesome to see them do this to the cx-5 i can't imagine how fun it is to drive now. Love the vid!
