  4. The price of US LNG to Europe doesn't make economic sense. Europe will be paying 2-3 X higher price than from Russia. Europe will fall into a huge recession that will also hit the US. And when Europe caves in to Russia on the sanctions, the billions US and Qatar invested to increase LNG production will be worthless. Europe was paying Russia ~ 150B/year for enegy. If that went up to 300B/yr there will be a deep recession in Europe. There are already riots in Spain because of high energy prices. While US and Qatar tries to ramp up LNG production, Europe will be paying for Russian gas with Rubles. China will be buying Saudi oil with Yuan. The petro-dollar is dying. The US is already deeply divided. Housing prices went up 20%/year, before the impact of Russian sanctions, higher oil prices etc. Food prices also going up double digits. When 30% of Americans can't afford both food and rent and gas for their cars, all hell will break loose.

This happened because governments shut down nuclear power plants, subsidized costly, inefficient solar and wind projects, and supported pipelines intended to enrich the thuggish (Neo-)Soviet mass-murderer Putin and his cleptocrats.

  9. What BS. You can't even get a pipeline from Pennsylvania to New York. Hell, Boston uses LNG in winter because of lack of pipelines. This "deal" will not get one. more pipeline built or increase LNG flows to Europe (which were already increasing) on bit.

  10. My heating bills were ridiculous this winter. When gasoline prices were going up several weeks ago, I was thinking it was a bad idea for our government to have removed the prohibition on oil exports, and I was hoping such a prohibition might be restored. Here we are now promising to supply natural gas to the Europeans at our expense. Our government's a bunch of #$!&?!s.
