  7. This comment is for any Godfearing child of God who is yet too wet behind the ears.

    Child of God, do not allow the posturing of the worldly to cause you to err. Do not ascribe innocence to the world. Do not ascribe sin, nor think evil, on the shallow appearance or imputation of a deed accomplished, proposed, etc. but remember the unrepentant course, the hate without cause, the complacency of the wicked.

    Child of God, it is not the weapons, nor even their use, which they fear. What they dread is their sense of impermanence. What they dread is the affront they perceive against their security. What they fear is loss of legitimacy, loss of control. They fear that composition in the world which makes wiles irrelevant, evidentiary, counterproductive. What they fear is a world where risks are real, but in which only the Godfearing can thrive even up to the face of oppression. 

    Child of God, our Father promised that extortion, that is: the many manifestations of the uneven-yoke, from violence broadly understood, theft, vexing, fraud, repression, all the way up to oppression: cannot defeat, cannot conquer the Godfearing. All of these are part of the world-system. 

    The Christian, in becoming a Christian, gains Christian Liberty, and in this exercise he can frustrate, and when a nation is pure in faith, when the people remain clean, grace is found. 

    The only existential threat is Biblical Tyranny. Biblical Tyranny, not the cheapened version of tyranny which the world-system popularizes as being the worst imaginable. Only Biblical Tyranny is set-apart, kept exclusive to God himself as redeemer, only God can requite, can avenge it: himself, for Biblical Tyranny is an affront to God himself. Everything else, up to oppression, the Christian can deal with.

  10. So if the US wanted the Europeans to immediately stop buying Russian gas all it would take is a "chemical attack" that gets blamed on Russia.

    Is that why the US government keeps bringing this up? They want Europeans off Russian gas at any cost?

  12. Unless there is a change in power within Russia, as some have already suggested a possible civil war in Russia and ensuing change in power. Perhaps at that point we could have friendlier relations with Russia going forward.
