  2. Dr Koonin doesn't say climate change isn't a problem… he says the problem is exaggerated. And he claims, rightly, that none of the models can predict the past. His graphs are misleading in one sense perhaps… but he mentions in his book it's important to keep things in context and to understand that the relationship between CO2 and mean temperature is not as tightly coupled as the media and political interests have made it out to be. I think his position is very reasonable… climate change is here and a problem… but also not an "existential threat". And geological problems are best solved by making the world richer than trying to cut CO2 emissions.

  3. The climate change as proposed by the left like John Kerry and Al Gore and the solution is an utter lie. They have vast financial interest in this regulations like like carbon tax credits, exchanges, audits etc. Even Obama envirinmenyql czar on record said if the USA implemented 100% of the regulations, basically zero fossil fuels etc, it would contribute about .1 degree in lowering the temperature 🌡. That right there can't even be measured, it's bs…The other reason they want to eliminate it is because the capitalist parties: Republicans, libertarians, independent politicians get large donations from supported by oil companies. So if they kill the $$ source of the opposition party. They win…the dems are communists, and want a 1 party system period….All the while China and India bring on 3 to 4 coal plants a month, which are like 40% dirtier then our coal plants. All they are doing is off shoring fossil fuels to Russia, and the Middle East. Where there extraction is way dirtier. They know this, and one fallen binary scientist follows there narrative between its political

  5. Can the numbers behind fossil fuel reserves even be trusted? They've been saying 50 to 100 years forever. Imagine the reaction if the government said an extinction-level asteroid was going to hit Earth in 5 years. The end of fossil fuels and industrialized civilization would cause a similar reaction. Anxiety, depression, and crime would skyrocket. The economy would instantly burn to the ground. Martial law would have to be declared. The true amount of fossil fuels left is a global security matter and can never be revealed until the very end. All the books and all the numbers are cooked. I wouldn't be surprised if we run out of oil before 2030. It would certainly explain a lot if that was the case.

  8. Solar energy may or may not be a feasible replacement for fossil fuel energy on the large scale, but for me it was one of the best investments I ever made. Being off grid is so nice. I haven't had an electric bill in 3 years. Solar is only for people who don't like paying their electric bills. The tech is much cheaper now, and the batteries have improved greatly since lithium iron phosphate batteries became available. Systems today can last 30 years, and since I did my own off grid system, my costs were only about $2,000. I would have sent all that money into the electric company by now if I hadn't taken the leap to living off grid.

  15. Art keeps discussing the problems with world oil depletion also known as Peak Oil but just can't come out and clearly say it. The latest evidence on world oil production shows that the world is now in declining world oil production forever and the sooner the world realizes this and starts the appropriate responses the better it will be for a resolution to it. Peak Oil is the challenge of our lives – the long emergency!

  17. Guys, we do not have reliable data on Greenland ice cap size going back to 1900, but even if we did you might expect some ice loss from the rebound from the Little Ice Age. How much ice do you think the Greenland ice cap had during the Medieval Warm Period or the Roman or Minoan warm periods or the Holocene Thermal Max? Do you think Greenland might have been losing some ice mass back then, huh? There is literally NOTHING unprecedented about today's temperatures OR about the temperature rate of change.

    And CO2? Not a problem! The rate of increase of C02 since we started burning fossil fuels is not relevant to any theory of catastrophic climate change. Remember, CO2 has been 10 fold today's levels in the prehistoric past, and it was not catastrophic, temps did not soar to some unbearable level, and it did NOT prevent the onset of an ice age! Yes, climate change is real – and it has been real for 4 billion years, and it is not changing any faster now than in the past.

    It doesn't matter a whit at what speed we increase CO2 up to a level that is still geologically very low. Also, the short term correlation between temp change and CO2 change is approximately zero, and the long term correlation on geological time scales is still weak, AND the temp changes precede the CO2 changes over periods of time in which correlations actually exist, which throws cold water over the idea that CO2 is a temperature driver or a simple control knob that let's you dial the planet's temp up or down like an oven. It is just utter nonsense by politically motivated research funders enamored of dreams of "global governance" and global financial redistribution – oops, I mean, "social justice."

    What does drive climate change on earth? Mainly celestial influences, usually through their effect on cloud cover.

Appreciate a lot the knowledge and insights of Art Berman on Energy "build blocks", BUT this discussion about the Future of Mankind is hard to swallow… I CANNOT UNDERSTAND why ANY HUMAN being defends "world" over "humans"…With proper respect for NATURE and THE WORLD, Humans MUST come first – ALWAYS…the world is the heaven where we live, but we have to be alive for God sake…as many humans as we, as a collective, want…no parent should be block parenthood of any children that they may want to have… Art focuses on Koonin's 40Million year "dots", but then Art talks about changes in ONE CENTURY (which is laughable as well)…Earth changes cannot be measured in 1 century either. So, i think THE TRUTH is in the middle…just like CERVEZA SICKNESS… We can't denied the vi***s existence and hardship and death caused by it, but FORCIG OR COERCING A SOLUTION on people wasn't the answer either…we left out protecting the elderly AND preventing early treatment at our easy and cheap disposal…That could had avoided 70-80% of deaths So, FIRST: THE consequences ARE TOTALLY unknown…please do not seat on computer modeling…2020 etched us all about that crap…the world doesn't care about humans and humans, even if they can implicate some changes on the world climate, i'm pretty sure are very small…the clue on that? -> Nature proof us all every time she gets pissed that we cannot do anything about that; SECOND: Humans quality of life differ from very poor in Africa to filthy Rich in USA/CHINA… We'll never really compromise because of corruption on Gov's all over the world and because rich countries got rich by "polluting the World" (their words not mine…was India's argument for not initially singing the Paris Agreement)…humans don't easily compromise AND if we insist will lead to war and maybe Nuclear WAR and we are fu***d any way – just check Ukraine – WORLD PEACE is always a balance of power between the bigger players; THIRD: We need to make changes in buildings immediately…just create loans with ZERO interest rates 70% guaranteed by the gov's…AND study hard to Develop better technologies, cleaner ones as fast as we can and YES, IMMEDIATELY use the cleaner ones already at our disposal.. FORTH (and most important): MAKE A REAL EFFORT on an better education of people around the world on WASTE and MORE Natural absorbers of CO2…specially the Brilliant minds that go around in private planes like a kid ride his scooter… My sons are at school, they learn ZERO about protecting the environment and the problems for which they'll need to have answers for…it's just stupid!!!

  25. Lower IP is probably due to higher percentage of child wells and the parents are shut in for a period with a dewatering period. There is a lot going on inside the data, but simply put child wells are not as good as parents because the child wells deal with depletion of pressure and volume within the simulated rock volume (SRV).

  28. Art looks mostly in the rear view mirror. Notice that he made no predictions on the forward price of oil. We are in such a state of flux with the covid impact and war that the forward price is anybody's best guess. Oil companies will sit this out until the market calms down. Hang on – its going to be a bumpy ride.

  35. Thank you Art and George. We're too premature in transitioning to renewable energy as a primary means and need to support the existing infrastructure of fossil fuels in the US, remaining independent of foreign resources. This is why Biden should not have shutdown our Keystone pipeline.

If I remember correctly… your dad said "George -your the best" in response to some of your challenges when you were growing up…..your dad and mine born 2 years apart WW2 etc etc…I am 10 years older than you and remember being around old people (being the late youngest born) all through my child hood who were born in the late 1800's even 1864 the attitudes and work ethic and so much more…I hear the values and ethics… GREAT INTERVIEW /CHANNEL!!!!   37. Watched this yesterday and have been considering it since, because I really respect Art Bergman and George Gammons. I think art has ventured out of his knowledge zone when it comes to climate, CO2 and the climate change agenda. The most compelling graph he shows is the CO2 levels buried within the last dot on the millennia chart, yet does not present the details of all prior dots (periods). It’s the same game of lie by statistics, but I think, or I hope, it is not an intention deception.

    There is no doubt that climates are changing, there is no doubt that they always do and there is no doubt that those changes are directly related to the solar cycles. It is an electric universe, no matter what Isaac newton told you.

    Yes, we are headed to cataclysmic changes but no you have nothing to do with it, we are on Gods clock.

  39. I'm going to go out on a limb here and I'm shur I'll be attached. Recent data came out that premature deaths have increased 40% for 18 to 49 year old persons since the medicine was introduced for various health reasons. Births are down also. I don't know if there's a correlation but I have a conspiratorial mindset. Could this be a plan of sorts to deal with overpopulation? I guess we'll find out in the next ten years or so. I didn't get the medicine. Please call me wrong or stupid. Criticism will not bother me or change my mind. I'm going to come back here to see if YT has removed this.
