  1. Hopefully someone commented this already, but you mentioned that drinking a lot of water made you hungry when you first started fasting (around 6 – 7 minute mark). From what I’ve “researched” it likely is salt depletion. I watched a video about keto dieting where a guy mentioned that if you get hunger pangs during starting keto, just eat a small pinch of salt, and usually that’s what your body is craving. Since so much of what American food companies produce is highly processed, high sodium food, the body can start physiologically and psychologically correlating the two (more food = more salt).

    Also not a doctor.

  2. Wow!! Excellent video👏👏🙌🙌🙌💯💪Great tips n explanation on Fasting!! Thank you for sharing 🙏🏼💫✨️👏🙌Congratulations on your success🍾🥂 I'm sharing with all my friends❤

  3. Thanks for a great video. I'm 54 and got that menopause fat that I'm struggling with. I always had a flat belly, not no more. I too have been doing IF, and eh….I am going to start your recommendation on Monday and it was freeing to just say, ok….I can eat today. I'm having a bowl of oatmeal with berries, flaxseed, walnuts and protein powder.

  4. Hi Colleen, Thank you so much for this video and all of your great advice, you are beautiful both inside and out! I had never heard of ADF before and after seeing the results you got, I'm going to give it a go!!. I really love what you said towards the end of the video about emotional eating, that struck a cord with me, as I'm going through so many things where I realize that I reach for food as comfort. And I agree with you that this is spiritual, as we are faced with many spiritual battles in this present day…so looking at my food and health journey through this lens really helps me to have a better perspective as to my "why" for the rest of my journey. I am a "young 60 y/o" woman who still has much to do and many things to accomplish and I want/need to be at my best and most optimal health and I wanna look good too!! So thank you for this, it was very encouraging and informative for me. God bless you Sis…keep up the good work (Liked & Subscribed!! 👍)

  5. Good morning Colleen . My name is Natalie and I tried to find your info to DM you but I guess I was meant to say this publicly. I recently watched one of your videos where you spoke about the book The Magic and I really want to thank you for putting that out there . I am on Page 21 of the 250 pages in 3 days and words can’t express the positive shift I am having. Talk about waking up. I am grateful for people like you who share their knowledge. You keep rocking it! You are beautiful inside and out.

  6. I have to give up to gain. Lord I give You control over every area of my life that I have been desperately holding onto to my detriment in the Name of Jesus Amen! I pray that God guides you in all you do Colleen 🙏💛

  7. I agree with everything you said. After everything that happened to me, I still believe fasting is extremely beneficial somehow.
I wish it would be sustainable though. I wish it would be easier to think about something else in those fasting days. All I thought about was food. I was just daydreaming about my next day meal. I did alternate day fasting for about 7-8 months and I lost 52 lbs. I still had weight to lose though when I gave up. I was eating healthy nutritious food and I was taking my electrolytes and supplements. I still started having palpitations in the evenings. My blood glucose was going crazy after my meals. When I was standing up too fast I was getting sooooo dizzy. Oh, I was also taking care of my water intake so I wasn’t dehydrated.
I went to a cardiologist just to see if I’m ok and she said my heart is healthy but I should take it easier with my diet. I didn’t even tell her I was eating one damn meal every 48 hours.
I didn’t wanna get criticized for fasting, I didn’t even wanna hear other people’s opinions, fasting was my savior, lol.
Oh well, once I stopped fasting so hard it’s like all my willpower melted and I started binging. I started craving food even more and I couldn’t control myself anymore. I gained all the weight back in a 3-4 months and I can’t fast now even if my life depended on it, it’s like a trauma for me.
FYI, I did OMAD before with the same amazing results. Of course, it also made me binge eventually. When I tried to do OMAD again, it didn’t even work for me anymore, so I started doing 48s.
So, yeah, the results are amazing at the beginning, pretty sure there are tons of health benefits even though I felt miserable in my fasting days, but you really have to keep the discipline your whole life. I hate to compare them but it’s just like any other diet. I’m still fat but guess what? Now I have headaches after my meals, my insulin goes crazy, I’m left with binge eating, my metabolism is slow af, I don’t even wanna hear about fasting even though I’d love to still fast… I wanted so bad to make it work…

  8. Your voice is so soothing! You’ve inspired me, I’ve done Daniel fasts and I lost weight but it wasn’t for that it was to get closer to god. I will try 8/16 first. Love your Channel.

  9. So glad I found your channel! We are same height and body composition. I’ve lost 50lbs on keto & just can’t get to my goal of 180lbs due to being tired of being restricted, like you said. I am going try this.

  10. I have an issue with taking vitamins. Is it ok to take them all at the same time? Like vitamin D, Iron, zinc with vitamins C and I both NAC as well. When I take them forget one or all if I need to wait in between.

  11. This is absolutely the very first video I have stayed and watched from beginning to the end I didn’t fast it up! I subscribed for the first time! I actually am motivated and ready to give this a go and it starts now! I had my share of emotional eating! I had my share of why is this not working moments! I currently work out I have done the fasting but not this the best part about this video it was like you was reaching out and talking directly to me with that being said wish me luck today is my first day of ADF I’m super excited thank you 💯

  12. I wish Tess Holliday could see this video it is so educational. For those who don’t know Holliday is a super morbidly obese influencer and proponent of the HAES trend who recently came out as ‘anorexic’ on grounds that she said she was starving her body by only feeding it nuts and caffeine on days she didn’t eat. She and others like her could benefit immensely from such videos that explain how the human body works specifically in relation to food and weight loss. So glad I found your video. I just did an entire day of fasting after a week of IF.

  13. I started my 30 day water fast 14 days ago. All I think about is food. I plan future meals and healthier ways to consume. That is only thing getting me through.

  14. Sometimes I will save my food for the next day. I tell myself I will eat the cake but tomorrow. I wrap it up like a little hoarder, lol, and put it away, and it is there tomorrow.

  15. Is A DAY 24hrs or are you saying 36hrs? I ask because I stop eating at 6pm on Monday. A "true day" means I can eat again 6pm on Tuesday. That being said I am still eating daily . I work the night shift so I want to get this thing right. So should I eat Monday and just don't eat again until Wednesday? Please advise.

  16. This is so helpful. I do tend to binge eat as well with IF and OMAD. I lost weight last year with working out with a trainer but gained weight back when I stopped. I’m going to try this tomorrow and will update my progress with ADF.
