I'm from Belarus, but in Poland now, and I see this discrimination against people. You're right- this is racism, pure and simple. I support Ukraine, don't get me wrong. But I totally get why people will turn against ukranians when facing this kind of behavior. And when you point it out they will tell you: "this is not the right time for this-don't you see we're suffering". Well I see, but guess what, you are not the only ones.

Anyone can be a refugee. Those are powerful words and very true. From a country that has hosted White Russian refugees (not referring to race, they were the enemies of the red/communist Russians), European Jews during WW2, Vietnamese boat people after US withdrawal and probably more as I've even met Iranians here that escaped the 1979 revolution. Let's lend a hand in any way we can to assist refugees.
