  1. I'm new here! have been watching some of your older videos. Think my first video was of Jess and her gma (Nonnie?) making something. Saw it on instagram reels. I was just wondering where some of the common sayings have come from. "Baddaddy", "Daryl/Zoe just don't need it." "dirty garbageXX" etc. Just curious. I work in special ed in the public school. I'm so happy you've shared your stories, tips, etc!

  2. Thank you so much for this video!! We love watching your family. My daughter is 11 with mild cerebral palsy & visually impaired. We were told she wouldn’t be able to do much but she can & it’s so amazing to see them doing things independently. I’d be interested in a video about puberty, etc because I am really not looking forward to that time just not knowing how to handle things.

  3. Have you ever thought about getting her and injection bc? You are a good momma! Almost 100K. I hope when it happens I hope you treat yourself to something SPECTACULAR.

  4. Will Jess require care and supervision all her life, or will there be some point in time when she might be able to live independently on her own, with some assistance?

  5. The iPad one…my son loves his tablets and can do more than I thought he'd be able to. Although since grade school I had to watch him with his Nintendo Ds and tablets…anything with camera cause he likes taking pics Inappropriate things. Had to finally set parent controls and disabled the camera on his tablet…even wrapped electronics tape around the top to cover the camera. Its frustrating cause all electronics are connected and on the cloud, trying to explain the bad things of doing that…and him seeming to not understand why he cant take those pictures. I'm worried about getting his own phone…hes not a phone talker anyway but these are the issues and challenges

  6. Such a great informational video thank you. So I’m thinking about her tactile issues and touching certain food. Have you ever tried putting gloves on her like the blue/clear snug fitting latex ones at a doctors office? Or do you think she wouldn’t like the feel of those gloves on her hands? I know she likes to wash her hands as soon as she touches something she doesn’t like and so I didn’t know if you ever tried that? Not the loose fitting clear plastic gloves like they use in a cafeteria service line. I actually buy a box of those from Amazon to keep in my kitchen to use them when I handle ground meat and chicken. I don’t like touching that either😬🤣🤗

  7. I use tank top bras, no fiddly things to figure out. When I was younger, I would put the bra around me, hook it in front and then turn it to the back.

There's a feature on iPad called VoiceOver that helps with blindness.

It's a huge bonus when we get the right combination of meds to work like they are supposed to.

I haven't got to go to get my hair done since February 2020 because of Covid. I used to have hair so short, my sister said I looked like her husband from the back. Now I have grown 11 inches of hair. I'm still new to it. At night, I sleep with a pony tail on the top of my head to keep track of it all. It seems to help. I also tried a hair net, like when you make food at work, but I move around too much for it to stay on.

  8. Bless her ❤️ . In my 50’s, I began to have issues with my hands. I eventually began to lose dexterity and fine motor skills. I can no longer button blouses or pants. I have had to begin wearing sports bras because I can’t fasten them any longer.

  9. I’m also curious whether or not Jessica has an aversion to loud noises. I definitely do. I can open a can of Diet Coke properly; my husband, however, cracks it open in such a way as to shatter windows a mile away. He also sneezes so loudly and out of nowhere that I jump through the roof.

  10. As usual, love the Q&A! For a future Q&A would love to hear about how Jess perceives the followers, how you describe it to her, what she likes about it, what’s her experience of this ‘blogging’?

  11. One question I had was if you’ve all tried having Jessica take baths instead of showers to make her more independent. Maybe allowing X minutes for playing in the bath and then Y minutes for bathing and hair washing. Maybe a tactile ring attached in the tub “showing” her the line to fill it to. Showers are sometimes boring and tiring.
