Poll: Americans Overwhelmingly Do Not Want Biden Forcing U.S. Into Major Role in Russia-Ukraine Conflict
Americans, by overwhelming margins, do not want Biden to lead the U.S. into playing a major role in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, according to a new poll.
A new poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research shows a mere 26 percent of Americans believe the United States should play a major role in the battle.
While Democrats more strongly support a significant intervention by President Biden, the desire to limit involvement in the conflict is universal.
Thirty-two percent of Democrats think the United States should play a major role in the Ukraine-Russia crisis and 22 percent of Republicans feel the same way.
Americans do, however, feel the United States should have a minor role in trying to mediate the conflict.
Fifty-two percent support playing a minor role while another 20 percent believe there should be no involvement whatsoever.

Americans Do Not Want Major Role in Russia-Ukraine Conflict
In addition to polls showing Americans do not want Biden forcing the U.S. to play a major role in the Ukraine-Russia crisis, others are showing they have lost confidence in the President’s ability to handle foreign affairs.
A recent Gallup poll shows just 40% support Biden’s handling of foreign affairs.
That number represents a 16-point drop from a year ago, pre-Afghanistan and pre-Ukraine.
Delving deeper into those numbers, just 36% of Americans approve of how Biden has handled Russian President Vladimir Putin’s Ukraine standoff.

Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley seemingly represents the group who disapproves, slamming President Biden for his handling of the conflict.
“President Biden promised a ‘swift and severe’ response. He did not deliver,” she tweeted.
She warned that other regimes are watching his failures in real-time and may become a threat down the line.

Psaki Hints Admin Has No Intention of Listening to the American People
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki at a press briefing Wednesday indicated the Biden administration has no intention of being guided by the latest polling.
“The President and the White House — you know, we make national security decisions based on what’s best for our country’s national security, not on the latest polling,” she told reporters.

Psaki went on to express hope “the American people will see and have seen” that the President “has sought to revitalize our partnerships and alliances and unite our country.”
She added, “We’re less focused on the politics of Ukraine and more focused on preventing a war.”
That focus must now shift in some manner.
Americans Wake To News Russia Launched Invasion of Ukraine
Americans today are waking up to the news that Putin launched an all-out invasion of Ukraine, with Russian cruise missiles hitting airports and military bases and hundreds of people already killed in the attacks.
Putin also tried baiting President Biden further with a chilling warning.
“To anyone who would consider interfering from the outside – if you do, you will face consequences greater than any you have faced in history,” he said during a television broadcast.

Perhaps Americans do not want Biden to involve us in a major role in the Russia-Ukraine conflict because of how it is affecting their already-depleted wallets?
Of particular concern is gas and energy prices which the White House has admitted are going to soar ever-higher due to events overseas.
“Defending freedom will have costs for us as well, here at home,” Biden said Tuesday. “We need to be honest about that.”
Historically, the costs of our efforts to defend freedom have been weighed against desired benefits to the American people. Benefits like safety and sovereignty. Which begs the question: what is the Biden administration factoring into its cost-benefit analysis that might justify potential U.S. involvement in the Russia-Ukraine conflict?
