Don’t forget about Florida. Their initiative was found unconstitutional based on the fact it said legalization and was sued by the Republican legislature (Republican prohibitionists) in order to block the initiative being put on the ballet. Based on the fact it would still be federally illegal. So they argued it was lie because it would still be federally illegal and would mislead the voters because we do not know there are two governments, state and federal. However, I would argue it was a state Initiative and therefore only refers to the state and not the federal government. It was a cheap move by the Republican prohibitionists in office in order to prolong the drug war as long as possible. Vote them out.
