  1. I use my credit cards everywhere and treat them like debit cards by paying the full balance every month. Various credit cards have their own perks like earning cash back or travel miles from every day purchases. Knowing that I have a credit line to draw upon is just a bonus. Every now and then, I earn enough travel miles to actually pay for my round-trip international flights for free.

  2. the problem is density and speed. IF someone were to stop, they'd get rear ended by 100 cars going at a somewhat high rate of speed. Firstly they MIGHT try to actually ENFORCE TRAFFIC RULES? LOS is the land of 1000 little feudal kingdoms (governmental departments) all of which casually disregard any law of the nation that they do not care for. Main government seems to only make announcements. Case in point, the war against entertainment/bars. Pattaya governor seems to think main government is not hard enough on those.

  3. it's safer if cars do not stop at zebra crossing because then the pedestrian can see and dodge the cars/motorbikes.
If some cars stop the pedestrian is often hit by the car/motorbike overtaking the stopped cars.
Either every vehicle stops like in UK, or it is safer that no cars stop.

  4. Tim, it is the store that is charged a 3 to 5% commission by the CC company, and this commision is splitted with the iisuing bank. In general the credit owner does not pay more.

  5. I suggest that Thailand installs flashing beacons either side of zebra crossings as used in the UK that are clearly visible to approaching traffic from a distance and thus alerts drivers of a zebra crossings existence as they are not clearly visible especially if there are multiple fellow transport travellers. Such an inclusion should be supplemented with a concerted effort to publicise their purpose in the interests of increased road safety that is also emphasised is schools together with crash helmet mandatory usage accompanied with a shock video showing the injurious consequences to failing to comply that is part and parcel of the highway code yet rarely enforced. I feel sorry for the hospital medical staff who have to have to deal with the consequences of unnecessary and often fatal accidents.

  6. For gods sake. On your news channels report on the comming war between usa uk europe and russia. This is far more serious than covid drinking crossingroads. Covid is now dead. The thai goverment will be following whats going on. And at the end of the day not if but when the russias invade a war will start and thailand will make choses back russia and china or back usa uk europe. If they back russia us expats inclueing you will be in shit. You need your news channels to report and question the thai goverment over this. Dont tell me i am over reacting this is seriousand the russias will invade anytime.

  7. Using Credit cards:I’ve had all this when I lived the UK.
You pay by credit card and think I’ll clear this when the bill comes in and everytime something unexpected comes in during the month like the car breaking down etc etc and kicks you in the bollocks.
