I think if I kept eating foods with a lot of carbs I would be dead by now… My total daily intake of carbs is about 50 to 60 a day.. all from Leafy green vegies, Strawberries and tomatoes… I eat lots of cheese… REAL CHEESE not that processed crap… Lots of bacon, fish and chicken… Never felt so good!

I am srinivas from India, I am doing IF past 1 month I reduced 6kg but I am covid positive on 2 February 2022 but when I am continue IF with medicines I am very Fatigue please suggest,I am T2D since 4years,my post meal is normal 110-122 with 500 SR but fasting sugar is 151-166 when to start the IF again

  5. The intolerance to brazil nuts you mention frequently seeing could be due to people overdosing on selenium if have more than 3 a day. For ages I thought I was intolerant, but if I limit to no more than 3 a day I'm fine.

  6. I'm borderline type 2 and have been on keto 2 1/2 weeks. Keto flu/brain fog has been in full effect and doesnt seem to be letting up any. Can I have a cheat meal or cheat day on the way to becoming fat adaptive.

  7. Going low carb and trying to be very meticulous in documenting all of my foods. I log my daily carbs in my notepad on my phone (I eat pretty much the same things all the time so it’s easy to do) and use an app called FatSecret to log the calories. I like it because it also gives you a little graph at the bottom to show how many of your calories are from carbs and fats, so you can get a visual of your progress- plus, when you log, for those who are moving gradually into a more ketogenic lifestyle and not diving headfirst into keto, you can see where you are at each week with carbs and how you are feeling. I’m trying to cut them a little more each week. I seem to have gotten them to an average of 40g per day.
    Yesterday I think I got pretty good values, for me: 2300cal, (200 burned with exercise), 63% fat, 28% protein, and 9% carbs. Is that pretty good for a beginner?
    I’ve been able to bring my insulin resistance levels down by two points over the past few months- 5.8 to 5.6. I think some of the weight loss is due to medications I’m taking too though, phentermine and metformin. It’s extremely hard for me to lose weight.

  8. Dear Dr. Ekberg. I eat Keto for 6 months now, mostly meat and eggs. Started to eat more grass fed butter and noticed my heart rate goes up to 100 or more per minute if I eat 100 to 150 gramm of butter a day. Is there something I can do except for eating less butter and why is this the case that the heart beat goes up with eating more fat? Because I really like to eat butter. Thank you for all your videos.

  12. I ate vegan for nearly 3 years and went back to eating meat and dairy 2 yrs ago. When I switched back, the quality of food I eat was much better than before I went vegan. The point is that eating vegan is hard so it was a good way to get rid of bad eating habits. Now I can spend $200 at the grocery store and still forget to stop at the bakery and cookies section. It would be impossible before because I was trained to eat pre made food.
