  1. Random side thing kinda related to the first story. Did you know Syndey Sweeney has a TikTok where shes just like repairing/restoring old cars? anyways hope you have a great day ya beautiful bastard!

  2. lmao coming from D.A.R.E.? Their presentations taught kids what drugs are, what they look like, and how to get them. They led to more drug use, not less. D.A.R.E. is a joke.

  3. if they legalize herb they'd better also make it so you can't get fired for having it in your system, currently attempting to get "clean" so I can get a better job, band honestly it's horseshit

  4. To be completely honest Euphoria is almost exactly like what my high school experience was. I also feel like as someone who has 9 years in recovery, it perfectly depicts what drug addiction is like. I just found this show recently and love it for how relatable it is. So many aspects of that show bring me right back. I don't know what it means when I see so many others say it is not like their hs experience. I knew my hs was a sh^t show but perhaps it was worse than I thought.

  5. So uh… here's the thing, I haven't seen the show, but I do come from a small town where sex, drugs, etc. are actually really really common in high school. We moved before I got there, but most of my middle school friends are now drug addicts… I think authenticity is more important than your "better than thou" attitude.

  6. As a (some say overprotective) father of a 21 and 16 year old: 1) I had no idea D.A.R.E was still a thing 2) It's long past time we all stop putting hallucinogens, cannabis and even moderate alcohol use in the same category as life ruining, addictive drugs. I wouldn't trade my teenage/20 something experiences with LSD and MDMA for anything and hope my kids can be so lucky. It undoubtedly made me the successful, loving, artistic father I am today and 3) There's quite a bit of research indicating the D.A.R.E program prompted drug use by a substantial amount in the 80's and 90's and even helped contribute to the opiate crisis today.
Point being: they're useless in every sense of the word and it's long, long past time we stop wasting tax dollars on them. D.A.R.E to keep these reactionary assholes out of our business!

  7. Not all television has to be about being 100% for-the-average-normal-regular-person. It's fiction for mature minds. Authenticity is important for many people who enjoy stories, not just pandering to a message or ideology.

  8. People who haven’t watched the show commenting on the show is asinine to me. Dare has contributed to the war on drugs which impacts minorities more than anyone. This is worse than reefer madness because they’re actually taking a psa and trying to censor it. Nobody says a WORD about violence everywhere by the way, or guns, which concerns me way more.

  9. The idea that teenagers are going to go do drugs because they saw it on tv is frankly dumb. The show shows the realities of those substances and is probably more of a deterrent than any dumb psa dare has ever put together

  10. Lol!!! My hs experience was like euphoria but not detail for detail obviously . I’ve never seen a high school tv show I related to since skins uk—-and that one less so .

  11. Hey Phil, remember when you gave Fauci a platform to stand on, to push misinformation….don’t be throwing stones if you live in a glass house. Also thanks for the worst coverage of the freedom rally even and helping make the division worse. Your channel is becoming way less reliable and I can’t call this credible reporting anymore. If I’m gonna watch a liberal, I’m gonna watch Russel Brand because at least he still has his heart.

  12. I know this is a week old, and I’m sure many others have already said this… but just in case. Isn’t euphoria rated MA? “You” can’t be mad about something that has an accurate rating and your teenager watches it. If you don’t like it, change and/or update your parental settings.
And why the hell would HBO meet with the youth advocacy for dare? This show is not for them!

  13. Here is an idea, maybe try being a parent. If you think your 13 year old shouldn't watch Euphoria, then guess what? You are right. If you want to sit down with your 17 year old and discuss these issues and talk to them and hear their side and I dunno, do parenting, then do that if you think they are ready. If you want to watch it with your college senior who has likely been exposed to some of these things and talk about it and they want to do it too, then do that. It's called parenting. Fuck off D.A.R.E. Get a real job.

  14. “Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power.” — Benito Mussolini

So with amazon having their hands deep in the government cookie jar. I thought the problem was corporate elites getting richer and keeping everyone else poor. Let's not forget the Washington Post is owned by Amazon so how objective will their reporting be.

By the way this chip story is old Tim Pool covered it in Feb/Mar 2021.

  15. High schoolers: This is really relevant to my life.
DARE: Nah. You don't know what the high school experience is like.
HBO: This is for adult audiences.
DARE: Nah, it's for children, and it's too mature for children.

  16. At no point did Rue's struggle in the show seem glamorous to me. If anything, it shows how terribly it can effect your life and the people around you, especially when she is screaming at Fez that he ruined her life by giving them to her in the first place…
