PS, just for the record, Ivy is brilliant. Her honesty and willingness to be open, share her worries and vulnerabilities is exactly what many of us mere mortals need to see. Beats text book and the scripted responses all day long. Bin that imposter syndrome feelings. You cant ride for a pro team if you dont have what it takes!
Do an interview with Novo nordisk to address cycling and Type 1 diabetes.
On the recovery, you seem to focus on protein. I always thought carbs were the priority macro for post ride recovery?
I love the podcast and appreciate that you guys post time links for each topic. Today there was a 12 minute discussion on swimming and no time links for how to skip it.
Edit: I posted the above when I thought the swim section was over and Jonathan said they want to know about what content we want to have. The swimming discussion is still going over 5 minutes later. ☹️
1:20:00 Amber is on point! It’s inline with her philosophy of being kind to yourself.
Getting back on the bike after being sick and feeling like I just came back from a battle explains why my power numbers were down, and being okay with it.
As a guy who doesn't plan to race, and who rides bikes for fun/fitness – I greatly enjoy this podcast. I listen to find tips and tricks that the average cyclist guy can apply. Side note – This 4 person team is great. You each bring something to the table.
Hablen más de triatlón porfavor 🙌🏻
what happened to the time stamps? 2hrs is a lot of time if you don't need it all?
I'm not stressed by testing at all, I just don't think it yields meaningful results for me. I don't care about FTP at all except as a training benchmark and how I feel on the day is wildly different than what my FTP should be set for a training block.
Jonathan the swimming takes a while. I did my first triathlon on my 68th birthday. I never swam in my life. When I took my first lesson I was in a class with sherry who was 12 and jeff who was 9 Both made me look really bad. I have now completed eight sprints. Hang in there you will do good. I look at every you tube channel that deals with swimming.
… you evil… all this talk of FTP and ramp test… I hate them, never test good, but here i went and did a test quickly, results, lower than what it was set, but probably more accurate anyhow… and not un expected after C19 either.
Loving the swim chat. Been a triathlete throughout my entire TR time (7/8years) and always felt like the podcasts were light on Tri chat.
Ivy is hilarious
Great team on today! 👏👏
