  1. I agree with everything you said. I would also like to add that all the postponements greatly helped Kambosos. I feel had the fight happened June 5th, like it was originally supposed to Teo would have mopped the floor with him. At that point Teo was motivated, still fresh and focused off a huge Loma upset. Funny how 1 postponement created a crazy chain reaction. Somewhere in all that time, Teo lost focus, his dad lost focus. They stopped training, literally because of Covid at one point. They lost hunger, they lost respect for the sport. They thought Kambosos was just going to lay down. Hunger plays a huge part in this. Kambosos understood that this was probably going to be his only shot to make his name in the sport… had he lost it’d just be another win for Teo. Kambosos knew this all too well, as he puts “it for 9 months all his energy and focus was on this fight.” While Teo was touring with all the belts, taking pictures with Canelo, doing interviews, posting on Instagram, going on vacations… Kambosos was training for the fight of his life, mentally and physically preparing himself for war. He was gonna lay it all in the line that night, and he did. Especially in that 10th round when he was knocked down, he was out on his feet, everybody thought it was over… as he himself put it, “Teo would have probably finished any other 135lber” but he was a possessed man, off of sheer will and determination he found a way to weather the storm. The rest is history. As for Teo he needs to accept his loss, learn from it and move on.

To me this fight really high lighted to always respect your opponent. What I mean by that is to never underestimate any opponent, even if it’s not a big fight. You can be very talented, but it takes more than just talent to remain at the top. Dedication and hard work wins over talent. For example look at Canelo’s last two fights against Saunders and Plant. Both fighters had some success against Canelo, clearly they trained hard, came with good game plans, and really believed they could win. Now imagine had Canelo taken them lightly… Imagine had Canelo just try and rip their heads off from the get go, you could easily see an upset. Retrospectively speaking of course. Another example, look at when Loma faced Teo. Loma underestimated Teo in preparation for that fight, he thought he was gonna dominate him start to finish, so much so he even went as far as to willingly take out his rematch clause. When you’re a name fighter, and especially when you are champion with multiple belts, with names on your resume, the guys coming to fight you are going to bring their grade A best come fight night. Maybe some will lay down once they see your superior abilities in the ring, but when you fight the ones that truly in their mind and heart believe in themselves, those are the dangerous ones. Excuse me for rambling, but it’s just something that stood out to me, that I haven’t seen too many fans/pundits speak on.

  2. Now, Kambosos vs. Lomachenko. I think Loma easily defeats Kambosos…Lopez will drop back down in weight, begging for a fight. If that fight happens, Lopez gets annihilated by Loma…end of that kids career.

  3. I believe Teo is the superior fighter, but not that night. He decided he didn't respect Kambosos as a fighter and he he probably thought he didn't need to have a strategy. His father didn't help either, I don't know why he was telling his son what he was telling him, but it was as if he wasn't watching the same fight. Teo could have finished Kambosos if he exercised the same level of focused against Loma (keep the jab for the entire fight, don't neglect it in later rounds like he did with Loma). He should rematch Kambosos and stop chasing big fights when there are opponents right in front of him he can build a name off of. When the time is right people will seek him out, just look at Errol Spence. He was begging for fights at one point and now he's the cash cow everyone is chasing.

  4. Biggest upsets for 2021. Was really rooting for Lopez, but it looks like his own ego getting the unified belts got to his head. Huge props to Kambosos definitely wanna watch him again good stuff 🔥

  5. Honestly I disagree with the just focusing only being a counterpuncher . He should work on his footwork , pressure, and inside fighting if he wants to be successful at multiple weight-classes.

  6. When I first saw the opening round I was sure Teo was going to blow him away, but it is clear to see now how beautifully Kambosos either avoided or moved with the majority of Lopez's punches.

  7. That's what boxing is about now. SHOW BIZ!!..doesn't matter who trash talks more…at the end of the show ?they both go happy$$
$$$..We're the idiots that pay to watch this crap..🤣🤣

  8. lopez is all brute force, and with a dumb trainer who has only performances like these, the lopez family works only through conflict, negativity that both have nothing to do with the essence of boxing.
kambosos proved that he has what it takes to be remembered as an honorable fighter and ambassador for the beauty that is boxing.

  9. Good breakdown. Philly shell, especially Teo's is always vulnerable to the overhand right and multiple jabs if they don't move off the line, this is why Tank is so good because his footwork is unbelievable he keeps on the move. Also excellent song choice btw!

  10. I see the feet being an issue. Lopez would move his back foot close to his front when he threw a jab. It just a matter of timing. You could see he wasn’t able to plant the back foot when he took the right hand

  11. Great breakdown of this fight. Kam learned a lot from Manny as he sparred with Manny over 200 rounds. Kam gets an 'A' and Lopez an 'F'. Lopez deserved to lose that fight, talk about piss poor. Lost his belts by foolishness. Great lesson on what not to do.

  12. Super happy that i train myself honestly after spars as in i learned that staying in the pocket gets you caught you always need to have fast in and out combo's thing is teo fell into this habit here which when a habit in a fights made its impossible to break unless a devastating blow gets landed or the opponent gasses leading to no need of the pattern break thing is your coaches teach you to get into better habits if they analyze your spars etc.

  13. Everything lined up for george to win, a focus teo wins. Fight was close and he was so reckless with health condition. I feel he should try to rematch him

  14. Amazing breakdown as always. One thing that I wanted to add is that from the way Teo and his dad tried to scurry out of this fight seemed to suggest there was something that they didn't like about Kambosos. Maybe that's why Teo tried so hard to just maul through Kambosos initially.

  15. Lopez held them belts hostage from Devin, then proceeded to disrespect TBE like Floyd hadn’t accomplished 1000% more than him against much better competition. That’s without being put on his ass. This was satisfying on so many levels. Unfortunately now George ducking Devin. Nobody is paying more money than match room.

  16. You made a super analysis, from a technical angle. By my human point of view, I never appreciate Lopez family and their arrogance and trash talking. They’ve been paid for that. And Kambosos made a great job too.
