  1. In July 2020 I stumbled across the CRAMMING and BULIMIA videos that Dr. Lisle had put out there. First it was his work with Chef AJ and then indeed the video on cramming with Gustavo Tolosa. All this information started to work inside of me. It took many months and it took many many many many times of failing…..standing up…..trying again.. But I always KNEW that now I had the solution. That there was nothing wrong in my head my mind my soul for being a Bulimic of nearly 25 years…..destroying many things in my life and my body. That this was just a very very very strong and stubborn and longtime conditioning and that the only way out WAS to whiteknuckle it. Many evenings I tried and tried and still ran out to buy the junk food AFTER DINNER. But eventually……about a month ago……I managed to do it. I freed myself from the bingeing and the bulimia. I stuck it out and it was PURE HELL!!! But still…..after a couple of hours the urge DID subside. I was talking candidly about this with my husband….no shame at all…..just asking for help. So we talked about the HORRIBLE urges I was suffering from. He saw my failings. He saw me standing up and trying the next evening again. And at the end I did it. My urges are now faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar smaller. I only recognize them but I ignore them and there is not fight, no resistance. They have no power over me. Many times they are not even there.

    My constant mantra was: Dr. Liste says " in these cases/individuals the reasonably full belly becomes the signal for the overeating."

    This is soooooo crazy. And still it was what I was experiencing. The reasonably full belly made me want to stuff myself. While BEFORE the meal I had no urge to overeat at all. So I tried to eat smaller meals……more often.
    This really was what did the trick for me. Stopping before I was stuffed made my overeating-urge manageable.
    Eating to total fullness made my immediate overeating-urge really unbearable.
    So for me the healing constited of 2 parts: FIRST: EAT NATURAL FOOD!!! No sugar, no salt, no overt fats. Fruits and vegetables. And lots of them. I do very well with fruits and less well with starches.

    And then I trained myself to EXPECT the overeating urge.
    To greet it: oh hello….there you are……I am just gonna sit you out.
    BECAUSE I KNOW that you eventually will subside.
    Within 1 hour to 3 hours this now horrible urge to stuff myself with all the junk in the world – will be totally GONE and will have faded into nowhere.

    This thing was really really hard.
    But it was so so hard only for such a small time period that I really wish I had known this many years before.
    And I wish that every person that is suffering from BINGE EATING or from BULIMIA could have access to Dr. Lisle's teachings.
    (This "wanna shout it from the rooftops"-thing. )

    I have suffered so so badly in these 25 years. I do not even know how I made it here – because I had lost all hope.
    There is nothing wrong with our minds……we are just heavily addicted to this drug….which is this highly processed "food" and the huge quantities that give us huge dopamin hits. More and more and more is needed …..year by year.

    And abstinence is the only way out……AND the cravings and urges will totally disapper in a short time.

    After all it took me a week of not overeating not bingeing and not purgeing……….to feel like a totally new person and a totally free person. Thank you Dr. Lisle. Thank you Chef AJ.

    Of course I still have to have my guard up for now. But there is no fighting. Just being conscious. Not forgetting to keep the guard up. And managing the thing that was totally unamanageable before…..and destroying my life for so long.

  2. It is truly unbelievable that genes do it all and the earliest years don't mean nothing, and, as soon as you are left to yourself (say at age 19) – your genes take over and you do what you were genetically programmed to do.
    I think there is more to it than people understand from Dr. Lisles words alone and it needs to be explained more.
    For example if you don't teach speech until the age of 13 – the person won't start (or ever learn) to speak at age 19 nor later.
    So there are things that this rule applies to and things that it doesn't influence. I would love for Dr. Lisle to elaborate on what is genetic and unchangeable and what is cultural and can be changed.

  3. People who can't attend a social gathering or spend a couple of hours without alcohol are quite simply addicts, although they won't admit to it. Your house, your rules, but be upfront about no alcohol and no animal products, and no cigarettes of course.

  4. I really appreciate the question about our family eating things I don’t think are good choices. I try to prep and have potatoes and fruit and veggies readily available, but daddy still gets fast food sometimes. I take a deep breath, let my tiny scream loose in my head, and move on. If I’m tempted, I leave the room, and they know why.

  5. You are awesome Chef AJ. I just caught up on the episode with Dr. Klaper and Plant based Telehealth and then here's Dr. Lisle, 2 of my favorites. Made for very enjoyable Sunday afternoon. I always learn something new when I listen to these great gentlemen. And truthfully Dr. Lisle has such a soothing voice I could listen to him for hours!

  6. At the 42:53 mark; L or Lela, You probably have a Multiple Personally (Alters) , I work w/ these wounded parts in the soul part of the person(mind, will emotion) area. These parts stay the same age and hold on to the trauma, so you as a person can function. Also, these parts have coping functions, Drugs, alcohol, eating disorder and etc. Start talking to Jesus and asking this part to forgive the person that abuse and traumatized you and give this area to God. He loves to heal the wounded parts in people. May God bless you Greatly…

  7. That's the best way to give, like Dr, Doug Lisle- Stop w/ the 501C3 groups, there not going where you think they're going. Give and help what's in your heart to the person or persons
