Let us utilise our ancient Knowledge of Herbs and generate wealth
Pakistan needs 3 basic things to survive in 21st century otherwise our economy will not grow and we will become more poor and face issues in food security
1- More actual reserch in public and private sectors (not printed copy paste research papers) govt must invest in reserch with clear targets and output. example govt must announce 10 priorities for nation in 2022 like our own Pakistani Ventilator our own tank engine our own pc hard drives publish through ministry of science collect bids for cost and time lines select from them and then fund.
2- the results from reserch must go to the commerce, industry and fields like Israel Japan Turkey and India doing. ministry of science should sell these innovative solutions that she invested in step 1 to these companies and groups who run factories and business.
3- Start encouraging initiatives for innovations (do not connect it with degrees only) anyone who if invents inside and outside the country with Pakistani nameplate he must be honored with medal like Iran recently started for Muslim scientiats and Sweden doing Noble prize but we should focus on Pakistanis so their innovative solution create a culture of solutions in society not culture of problems and that will add in our economic output and induatry also.
Without these steps we can not survive in 21century with such a big population.
Good job by the reporter in clarifying the difference between hemp and “Bhang” . There is a disinformation being spread about hemp. It is non addictive and does not get you high. This is highly beneficial in terms of the number of products it’s used on. It is non narcotic. Don’t be misled by media.
