    That salt (crystal) that you use as a deodorant is also called "tawas" in the Philippines. Your armpits might get dark if you don't rub the salt gently or if isn't wet/damp enough. The deo crystal will smoothen eventually as you use it. Yes, it's really cheap and can last so loooooooong!

  3. christine do you have a letterboxd? would love to follow, if not highly recommend it! it's kind of like goodreads for films, but the site is also very aesthetically pleasing haha. also, highly recommend the film Drive My Car based on the films you mentioned! it's a japanese film based on a short story by Murakami and was very very good

  4. The Doc Martens loafers are my favourite ever!! And I feel like if you wear loafer type shoes every day (I also love doing this) they may last better than some others. Bonus points if you can find the all black ones, I want to wear them for ever <3

  5. You should check out the home coat by OFFHOURS. It’s basically the middle ground of a mid length puffy and a robe. I’ve had my eye on it for basically a full year now 😬

  6. OMG Christine, thank you so much for reviewing the Solovair shoes. My best friend in high school had a pair of the Gibsons and I’ve been looking for them for the last 21 years thinking they were Docs! Perusing the site now and there are so many cool pairs to choose from. Happy!!

  9. If you haven’t already, listen to Andy Shauf’s “The Party” album cover to cover. Every song is great and its one of my all time favorites I go back to again and again. Also- He played almost every instrument himself on the entire album. He’s an incredibly underrated musician.

  11. I love when you talk about music, I’m not much of a music nerd but it’s just so wholesome 💓 I love it.
    I don’t know that much as I said but I loved the last turnstile’s album and I’ve been listening a lot to the golden era of salsa of fania all stars, i haven’t see my family in 4 years ‘cause I emigrated from Venezuela so listening to my dad’s favorite music makes me feel less alone. I just found out about the story behind La Orquesta de la Luz and I think it’s fucking insane, I love them so much.

    Also what I could appreciate from your outfit it was beautiful omg I love the scarfs on you (is this how is it said? Scarfs?) anyway happy new year 🎊

    I meant to say thank you Christine for all the contents you share with us but especially for your SOUL FUNK DISCO playlist. My partner and I do not have a lot of overlap in music taste except the stuff you put on that playlist. It keep us both happy in the car or really anywhere we are listening to it. Now whenever he likes the music I play, he asks if it’s Christine’s playlist. Been enjoying your content for years… and hope to enjoy more next year. 💜💜💜
