Betty White’s Cause of Death Revealed
American icon Betty White died of natural causes last Friday, according to her agent.
“Betty died peacefully in her sleep at her home,” the agent, Jeff Witjas, told People.
White’s agent also denied rumors claiming the 99-year-old actress had just received a Covid booster shot a few days before her death.
“People are saying her death was related to getting a booster shot three days earlier, but that is not true. She died of natural causes,” he told the magazine. “Her death should not be politicized — that is not the life she lived.”
Witjas did not comment on whether Betty White received the Covid booster at all.
The beloved actress who starred in “The Golden Girls” passed away just weeks before her 100th birthday.
According to White’s co-star Vicki Lawrence, Betty White called out her late husband’s name “Allen” before she passed.
Page Six reported:
Betty White called out late husband Allen Ludden’s name moments before she died on Dec. 31 at age 99.
Vicki Lawrence – who worked with White on “Mama’s Family” – exclusively told Page Six that she contacted co-star and pal Carol Burnett as soon as she heard the tragic news.
“I texted Carol and said, ‘This just sucks. I hate this. It’s just horrible to see the people you love so much go away,’” Lawrence, 72, recalled.
“Carol wrote back and said, ‘I know, I know. I spoke to Betty’s assistant, who was with her when she passed, and she said the very last word out of her mouth was ‘Allen.’”
Lawrence continued, “How sweet is that? I said, ‘That is so sweet. God, I hope that’s true. For all of us, I really hope it’s true, a lovely thought.’”
