David Ogot has had to overcome great obstacles in his journey to sobriety. David started drìnkìng at the áge of 13. This took a toll on him to a point he could not even complete his university studies in India. Four four years he was in India, he never stepped in a classroom. After 27 years of self destruction, David finally found help and has never looked back. He's now keen on using his story to change lives of those struggling with drúgs. Here's his story on @Shared Moments with Justus

I am crying 😭😭😭 and I don't know why. Maybe it is his mourning of Caleb. Maybe it his narration of being useless and sucking people dry, that if you didn't exist, people will breath. Maybe it is the challenge, the fight to avoid THAT FIRST DRINK. I am floored. The trailor analogy. My goodness. God bless this man and all that is within him. He is making a difference. I salute you and thank you DAVID OGOT🙏
Oohh my God in old city i was told about your story by a guy called chirag …and one guy who was staying in Rani road rampura near fateh saga
A great guy.
I am so glad to have come across this video. I am glad that you are okay. I first watched your story while in Secondary school between 2001 and 2004, when we were being taught about drugs. And I have always wondered how you are. I just want you to know that what you are doing is not in vain. You don't know who's watching and who you're helping, just know you might save a life. Wishing you the best in your endeavor.
You are an inspiration 💪 I've watched you this is for the second time now.
Thanks David for inspiring words,Calleb was a genius gentleman, taught me in secondary Raruowa girls – kiswahili,Rip Calleb.

Very Inspiring story David, your language command is on another level! This should be a book.
Great. Very inspirational. I have known Dave since 1977. I used to drink with him downtown in the 90s. I am seven (seven) years clean…totally off alcohol since 17th September 2014.It's always a great struggle. Keep up…
I'm watching this whilst suffering from a serious hangover saying to myself I will never drink again for the hundredth time
They teach you how to use it but they dont teach you how to stop
Even though this story is so powerful and sad the narrator, who I have not heard of before, has an amazing sense of humour which makes the story more impactful. I have learned so much. Looking forward to seeing more of his work.
