Heart disease is not like type 2 diabetes. Saturated fat and cholesterol can kill fit people. Potatoes, bread, cereal, pasta, fruit, and even sugar WILL NOT kill a fit person or make them unhealthy.

After going vegan in my mid-30's, I cannot swallow fast food. It tastes terrible!! (72yrs old now). Taco Bell gave away one free taco as a promotion, took one bite, spit it out. I also experimented with pizza, it tasted awful !!! How can ppl eat this stuff?? I don't know how to describe the taste– maybe artificial?? Scary that kids develop a taste for chemicals in food. YUK
If only the general public were exposed to this info. The majority believe traditional American foods are healthy. So much propaganda from big wealthy food & ag corps.
The problem with using YouTube for health advice is that I can find just as may doctors with published studies who will say vegan is the way to go as will say that meat is the way to go.
BTW, milk from your mom's breasts is not vegan and humans have been growing up on that literally forever.

If I had to choose between boxed cereals versus fresh fruits and vegetables, I would choose the latter because they contain natural nutrients and phytochemicals created by mother nature.

Vegan for animals so I do have occassional junk food, chips and cookies and things that would make Doc mad 🙂but my diet is based on WFPB and people ask me what will be my major in University and I am 34. Got my degree 13 years ago. Blood test impeccable

Being in the fitness and wellness fields for 30+ years I appreciated the detailed explanations of why exercise, alone, though incredibly important, cannot override the effects of a less than appropriate diet. You can't out run your mouth. Eat wfpb and open up those blockages. Blessings to all. Namaste.🙏

When I put my mother on a vegan diet her GFR went from 31 to 56. It was wild, the renal doctor said there must have been a mistake (in the lab over the past few years, hahaha)

The dr said I’m pretty diabetic Beans rice bread sweet potatoes are all foods I like but they have raised my insulance resistance. My triglycerides etc are very high now including cholesterol. So what can I do?

I just use a teaspoon or two of oil for sauteing aromatics, or toasted sesamee oil to add some flavor, but I don't need it for frying food because I use nonstick pans or an air fryer. My cholesterol is really good (120mmol/dL). A little oil can also enhance absorbing of fat-soluble vitamins.
