  1. Sorry to year about Pumpkin. 17 years old is a long life and you're lucky to have him this long. I have a 19 year old cat with kidney Disease that has no cure but comes with old age. She's doing alright. I also have a 12 year old dog. I've had lots of pets in my life. I am thankful for all of them. But letting them go or them passing on their own hurts. It doesn't get any easier as I get older.

  7. My dog has seizures and I was told to give her one Tums and it should help . because she gets seizures when she gets excited I have just learned to talk to her and I rub her while she's having her seizure and she gets better. I think talking to her helps calm her down.

  8. Chelsea, Omar posted a video yesterday about Cookie having a Seizure as well, strange. I pray punkin is alright and doesn't have another one. Praying for you as well with all you're going through. Much love and 🫂 hugs to you.

  9. Hi Chelsea I have had 2 weimaraners with seizures all you can do is make sure she is safe and be there for her she maybe confused sleepy disoriented any number of symptoms but it is manageable and she can still live a full long happy life they may treat with drugs like phenobarbital which is used in humans as well and once regulated is usually very effective with stopping or decreasing number or intensity of seizures. Just don't put anything in her mouth etc. while she is actively seizing this may make the issue much worse for her such as choking etc. and if she look pale or bluish don't panic that may happen as well just sit beside her and comfort her best you can then rest and love. 1 of my weims he was @125lbs came out like a wild animal didn't know his name you couldn't talk even breathing set him into a ferocious frenzy and I was the 1st unlucky one to find out at 2am in the pitch dark he was having his 1st one and I had 3 other dogs to protect in the room and I was lucky to finally get him restrained and pinned so he didn't kill another dog I ended with stitches but he wasn't at fault and he had no warning signs b4 so please count yourself lucky that she is just kinda out of sorts and exhausted.
Chin up Chelsea PUNKIN WILL ROCK ON!
P.S what type of infection and what antibiotics could have been the cause or if she had a feberal seizure "caused by fevers"

  10. TY, Chelsea,
My friend has a dog that has seizures. My doctor said that CBD oil isn't tested adequately on animals; I wanted to help Jassy calm down with that. She has her dog on meds now and it's helping!! Love to Punkin and you!!
Wow, I know about vets that are ALL about money — it's so annoying. I went into a vet with my last cat and she said 'she needs her teeth pulled'; after I heard that she says this to everyone who comes in there first. Ugh! The animal is so much more important!

  11. I RAISED CHIHUAHUAS AND THEY SOMETIMES HAVE EPILEPSY AND THEY HAVE SEIZURES. I ALWAYS GAVE THEM HONEY THEN A LITTLE NUTRI-CAL. IT TAKES THEM A WHILE TO COME FULLY OUT OF IT, SHE COULDN'T WALK BECAUSE THEIR MUSCLES TENSE UP. ALL YOU CAN DO IS MAKE SURE THEY CAN'T HURT THEMSELVES. MAYBE THGOOD IS NOT HOLDING HER UP NUTRITIONALLY YOU MAY HAVE TO CHANGE IT. IF YOU GAVE HER HONEY AND FOOD HER SUGAR LEVEL WOULD SHOW NORMAL. FIRST CHANGE HER FOOD, TRY THAT.
