  1. Chia actually makes me constipated. I think it absorbs too much liquid from the colon and dries out the poop. It actually turns my bowel movements into small marbles no matter how much water I drink! Psyllium does the same thing. Everyone is different I guess.

  2. I have been on Fentanyl for eleven years. Until three months ago I haven’t had a natural bowel movement for all that time. But three months ago I bought a bag of dried unsweetened mangos from Costco. I have had an almost daily bowel movement since! It took me awhile to figure out what miracle was causing the miracle of a daily bowel movement.

  3. Plums (prunes) and apples contain polyols, which are like a natural stool softener.

A better long term strategy is to get plenty of soluble fiber and have a healthy microbiome. Food like oats, barley, and okra are particularly rich sources of soluble fiber.

  4. I have a 50/50 mix (by weight) of ground flax and chia in my freezer. I eat a 1/4 cup every night with my very-berry, berry-berry-berry-berry, berry-apple smoothie. Not a typo, it's got 6 kinds of berries in it….and apples. I blend it chunky just to the point that I can suck it up a smoothie straw, quite chunky!

Consider Telling him: to Eat a relatively low fat whole foods healthy plant based diet, that would help reduce chance of heart attack and heart disease, and in some cases may also reverse heart disease. And to Watch how not to die on youtube, And Forks over knives. And to preferably avoid saturated fats…
Saturated fats should be less than 10percent of calories but eating saturated fats is not needed to be healthy. But since he had a heart attack it would probably be wiser to just avoid saturated fats.

  6. Shmear of peanut butter I love it 😍😁. I made sourkraut this weekend and it's completely both of your fault lolz 🤣. I'm really excited about how it comes out. I also just started the 7 day plant gut challenge and I'm excited about that too 😍

  7. If you're eating whole foods, you shouldn't need any help. As Dr. McDogall says, "Start with a starch, brown rice, potatoes, sweet potato, quinoa, etc, and add vegetable/fruit," you shouldn't have any problems. Flour/dry products, will give you trouble.
